  Andy did a great job working on my window screen. It looks much better now. I plan on calling him back for some small repairs around the house.

  Andy with Ace Handyman Service was good to come out in icy weather to fix a gas leak in my fireplace heater. I'm grateful that he was able to come immediately. Andy fixed my gas fireplace & I am able to use it if needed. Thank you !

  I worked with Dave Wigfield who provided me with a quote on an office door I wanted Ace Handyman Services to install. The quote was right in line with the price I was looking for so I told him I wanted to move forward with the project. Initially Dave told me that they could build a transom for the arch above the doorway which was included in his original quote. After some more conversations, Ace sent someone out to measure the doorway and I was told that they had a new lumber supplier which would make it easier for them to get an all-in-one door/transom and reduce carpentry costs. Even better. Much to my surprise when Dave sent me an adjusted quote, the amount nearly TRIPLED from what he had originally quoted me, with no explanation. When I inquired about this I was simply told it was due to the new lumber yard. This whole exchange was after going back and forth for over a month because of how slow-moving and unresponsive Ace/Dave was throughout the process. I know different suppliers have different pricing so seeing a change in price due to a new supplier wouldn't have surprised me. The shock was the difference in price supposedly just because of the supplier. This leads me to think that either Dave had no clue what he was talking about when he originally quoted me or he was being intentionally deceitful and deploying a bait and switch tactic. I'm just glad I didn't let them start working on it or they may have jacked up the price on the labor as well. Very disappointed, obviously. I normally don't write a lot of reviews but I'm writing this one in the hopes of warning others so you don't waste your time with these people. I spent a month going back and forth with them on a simple project and now I'm back to square one still with no office door.
