    I had a scheduled appointment today 11/8/2025 between 1pm-330pm with Michael &Son, received a text message from Kim at 245pm that he was running late. At 6:57pm, I received a called, stating the tech was on his way and he will be arriving in 54mins which should be around 8pm. Absolutely not, horrible service. My appointment was for a leak in my shower. Zachary Malloy was the tech.

    Manuel did an amazing job troubleshooting and fixing my heat pump issues. My heater stopped working this week on a day where the temperature was forecasted to drop below freezing. I made an emergency last minute call to Michael & Sons and they scheduled Manuel to come help me that same day. He worked late into the night to ensure I was taken care of. He was kind, patient, professional, and thorough in his work. I am so grateful for Manuel's help and Michael & Sons effort to squeeze me in on a very busy day. Thank you!

    Very nice young man came out the same day I called. But, when I called for service I explained in detail what I needed assistance with. When the young man arrived and looked at the issue he stated he didn’t have the equipment and even if he did he couldn’t assist me. It was a small issue. Just flaring a quarter inch tubing. Told me since they didn’t sell me the equipment that they would need to pull a permit to flare a copper tubing that would have taken him 15 minutes minimum. Anyone reading this just think about how absurd that is. But the young man was very very nice and respectful. He called his boss to see if he could help me and was told no.

    We had a brand new HVAC system installed less than 1 month ago. It failed the inspection. I let Michael & Son know that it failed inspection while the inspector was still at our house. That was 2 weeks ago to the day, I’ve reached out twice more since then and still no one has been out to fix it. And tonight, as the temperatures get into the 20’s, the HEAT HAS STOPPED WORKING. I called their 24 hour service line tonight and they can’t get anyone out here until 8 AM tomorrow morning. This leaves my children who are 2, 3, and 4 to sleep in the cold. The temperature is 64 degrees and has fallen over 1 degree per hour, and it’s only getting colder outside. They said they couldn’t do anything when I said someone had to be out here tonight so my kids aren’t sleeping in the cold. What an awful company. Take my experience as a cautionary tale and take your business elsewhere.

    This is a very important edit to my review. Please read! The afternoon of the day I posted my original review, I got a phone call from Michael and Sons. They said reviews like mine hinders their business and they take that very seriously. He wanted to pay me to remove my review (or edit it to remove the negative aspects of it). Garrison Strafford offered to refund me the entirety of my invoice to remove my review. He told me he was going to send the request to accounting and to watch for the credit on my statement, then call him and let him know when I removed the review. I agreed. Lets do this, Garrison! A week later, I called Garrison back to let him know the credit had not posted yet and asked for a call back. I never heard from him. 4 days later I called him and left another message that credit had not yet posted and asked for a call back. He never called me back. Here we are a little over two weeks later and I just checked, the credit has not posted. I gave them ample opportunity to keep their word. Mind you, THEY approached me with this agreement. So, this review is my full and honest experience with Michael and Sons and you deserve to know how to spend your money. Here is my original review from November 6, 2025: The technician, Noe, was very knowledgeable and efficient. He was pleasant and caring. Im thankful I got him as the technician and he was worth every penny that they actually paid him. The only reason Im giving 2 stars is because I signed a form, before repair, agreeing to pay a repair price of $238, and at the end it ended up being $431. If the end total was going to be different than the repair quote, then they should have me agree to pay THAT price... And not lay a sticker shock price on me at the end of it that I can't do anything about.
