I’m not one to write reviews but I can’t not with our experience here!! Billy and his teams efforts were outstanding! I can’t express enough how greatly they took care of us through this process. I’m blown away with how Billy made sure that we were taken care of. His efforts made sure our family had a sustainable well to live off of. I don’t know of many contractors who would’ve taken care of us the way they did. Would highly recommend Billy and his crew for all your well drilling/fracking needs!!

Billy & his team are one of the best contractors Ive ever dealt with. Having a farm, no water was a huge deal and they braved the snow & ice to get here as soon as possible. Very honest and trustworthy people. My only complaint is they broke a huge chunk off the well vault being careless and left it that way.

Frequently Asked Questions About D & Y Well Drilling, Inc
How deep will my water well need to be?
The depth of your water well is determined by several factors including the local geological conditions, water table depth, and your specific water usage requirements. Residential wells typically range from 100 to 500 feet deep, while commercial and agricultural wells may require greater depths.
How long does it take to drill a well?
For most residential properties, well drilling can be completed within 1 to 3 days. This timeline can vary based on the required depth, soil conditions, and weather. Larger projects or municipal wells may require additional time due to more complex permitting processes and site preparations.
Do i need a permit to drill a well?
Yes, obtaining a permit is a mandatory requirement before initiating any well drilling project in all areas we serve.
How do i know if i need hydro fracking for my well?
Hydro fracking is often recommended for wells with low water yield or those experiencing flow issues due to surrounding rock formations. Our team can conduct an assessment of your well to determine if hydro fracturing would be beneficial for improving its performance.
What's the difference between a jet pump and a submersible pump?
Jet pumps are generally utilized for shallow wells, typically those less than 25 feet deep. Submersible pumps, on the other hand, are installed within deeper wells and offer greater efficiency for high water demand and installations at greater depths.
How much does it cost to drill a well?
The cost of well drilling varies depending on factors such as depth, location, casing materials, and water system components. We provide complimentary estimates following an initial site evaluation to accurately assess your property's specific requirements.
What are the signs my well pump needs repair or replacement?
Indicators that your well pump may require repair or replacement include decreased water pressure, air in the water lines, frequent pump cycling, or complete loss of water flow. Our team offers prompt diagnostic services and repairs to restore your water supply efficiently.
How long does a water well last?
A properly constructed and maintained water well can remain functional for 30 to 50 years or more. Regular inspections and water quality testing are essential for maximizing the well's lifespan and ensuring safe water quality.
Can you drill a new well near my existing one?
In many instances, drilling a new well near an existing one is possible. However, local regulations often stipulate minimum distance requirements between wells and septic systems. We'll assess your property layout to identify the most suitable location for a new well.
