While I don't have plumbing issues often, the folks at Standard Plumbing have come through for me every. single. time. This latest visit was no different. I called the after-hours answering service early Tuesday morning when my tankless hot water heater bit the dust. I had multiple error codes and a leak coming from inside the unit. Before they opened, I had a text confirming they had received my call and were already working to dispatch a technician to my address. The team of two arrived shortly afterwards, diagnosed the problem, offered a few options and in what seemed like just a few minutes, had installed new parts, cleaned the work area, and were testing the HOT water! Every single interaction, from the answering service, to the call back, and the crew were all so very courteous and professional. They all made me feel like I was a priority. I cannot recommend these folks enough. It was absolutely the best experience I could have had considering my situation. Please consider Standard Plumbing as your first option when you have plumbing issues. -Sean Lavin Elizabeth City, NC

I received a call from my local water department informing me that my water bill was unusually high and that the meter reader reported my meter running pretty steady, they informed me there could be a possible leak. I have recently undergone knee surgery and i am in no shape to crawl under the house and do any plumbing work. I reached out to Standard Plumbing and within the hour John was at my front door. I relayed to him what I was told and he immediately began his search. He was everywhere, under the house, under my sinks, at the washer, etc. and he informed me there was no leak anywhere under the house or at any point within my house. Being a seasoned plumber he suggested the leak could be from the meter to my house, the underground connections. He began his digging at the meter and sure enough, the connection at the meter was snapped and there were cracks along the line running from the meter to the house. The culprit, a tree that stands about 5 feet from the meter. The roots were thick and intertwined with the pipe from the meter to my house. the roots had put to much pressure on the pipe and was causing it to crack and break. He offered to fix what was visible but explained, that because the line runs basically right under the tree, there could possibly be more damage that we aren't currently seeing. In seeing the pile of roots he had to cut away from the portion he dug up, i made the decision to run another line from the meter to the house. This time PEX instead of what looked like PVC and away from the tree. Being this all happened on Thursday at about 4, getting a trencher over right then and there was not in the cards, totally understandable, but John ran me an above ground temporary line so my family and I could still have water. As of this morning, all is complete, no leaks, PEX underground, trench backfilled, and My family and I are happy. Thank you to Standard Plumbing for showing up and for sending someone here within the hour. A special thank you to John, for going above and beyond, for making sure my family and I was taken care of and for all your hard work. I will DEFINITELY be using Standard Plumbing again. If your looking for great work, great customer service and a great price, CALL STANDARD PLUBMING!

We are new in town and needed a plumber for a backed up kitchen sink. Based on customer reviews and their responses to their reviews, I chose Standard Plumbing. We were not disappointed. They worked diligently to address our issue (which turned out to be more complex than we initially thought), and gave us a very fair price. They will be our go-to plumber from now on.

My Tankless Gas Hot Water Heater developed a leak. I called the Brand dealer in Virginia and was told sorry your out of our service area nothing we can do for you. I went online and looked for a company that could service my brand, I called Standard Plumbing and was told yes we do. Within 45 minutes Brandon and Mike arrived at my house, found the problem. Brandon was on the phone for sometime and afterwards I was told that my heater will be replaced under warranty. My only cost was labor which was reasonable. Within a few hours the new heater was installed and working great. Thank you to Standard Plumbing and to Brandon and Mike for a great job.
