  My HVAC stopped functioning on a winter Saturday evening after hearing a cracking noise outside & then I found that thermostat was blank. Michael Cone, Service Technician with Horne Heating & Air arrived Sunday morning & tested the system inside & out. I appreciated that Michael patiently explained clearly the issues he found. The contactor unit outside had failed & needed to be replaced. This didn't solve the thermostat issue, as it started briefly & then went blank again. I enjoyed observing Michael's testing & sleuthing skills to determine that the breaker for the air handler in my main electrical box was overheating. Michael was able to replace the breaker & so far so good! He advised monitoring in case an electrician needs to assess my electrical box. Overall great service & support. I was worried it could've been worse. The labor is so much more costly than the parts, but I really felt Michael's great work was worth the price.

  We came to Horne HVAC after a very negative experience with another local HVAC company. From the start, the experience with Horne was a breath of fresh air. Robert arrived on time, was professional, and quickly identified exactly what work needed to be done. Most importantly, it never felt like he was adding any unnecessary “BS” to the quote. Scheduling was quick and easy, and the installation team (Wriston & Jeff) were courteous, professional, and did a wonderful job. After going a month without heat, we are incredibly grateful we chose Horne HVAC for a new, reliable system installation. Highly recommend

  Horne team (notably Trevin) came out to do a diagnostic evaluation on one of our AC/heat units. He spent at least an hour, if not two, (no hourly rate) running multiple test to find the problem. Called another colleague to come to house as needed 2 people to watch different parts of the system. Finally found the problem- a circuit board. Cost to replace significantly less (by $11K) than the quote to replace (the entire unit) by our current AC company. Having been with them for 20 years, they took no time to diagnose, simply pushed us to replace at over $12K.

  Very impressed with Horne! They are focused on doing things right and not trying to sell. You can tell they know what they are doing and that includes everyone that is involved-from sales, install and maintenance (Ben just left:). They do a great job at communication and helping you understand. I really appreciated the whole team that we’ve had these past couple months. Glad to be a Horne customer.

  Dimitri Y. did a great job during our furnace check up visit. He worked quickly and efficiently. I appreciate that he took the time to thoroughly review the photos and findings from his inspection and was patient showing me where the filter was located while providing me tip on how and when to replace the filter between the winter and spring tune ups. We will definitely continue to use Horne and I would happily recommend the company and Dimitri to friends, family, and other community managers I work with in the Charlotte area.
