I don’t often find myself moved by plumbing, yet there was something quietly heartening about Tristan Gobert of Benjamin Franklin Plumbing here in Charlotte. He arrived precisely when he said he would, a small miracle in itself, and before crossing my threshold slipped protective booties over his shoes with a courtesy that felt almost old-fashioned. He replaced my kitchen faucet with an attentiveness that suggested the task was not merely mechanical but personal. When he finished, he lingered long enough to guide me through its workings, as though initiating me into a modest domestic rite. He walked me out to the garage to show me the water shutoff—knowledge both practical and faintly reassuring—and even tested the water for chlorine, an unexpected gesture that felt like concern rather than obligation. In an era when service can feel hurried or transactional, Tristan embodied a steadier, more conscientious standard. If he is representative of Benjamin Franklin Plumbing, then the company is fortunate indeed. I recommend them without hesitation—for their skill, their civility, and the rare comfort of feeling one’s home has been treated with respect

The gentleman came in, remained standing took one photo & said, he couldn’t fix it and I needed to buy a new faucet. He was in my kitchen for total of 10 minutes. He was not very interested in helping me with anything other than quoting me a Lot of money to install a new one once I buy it. Not Best Practices at all.. I then paid $51 bucks for a 10 minute assessment. Thanks for Nothing !! You just lost a longtime customer..

Since I've received 2 auto texts every day since the job was complete here's what I think. Hire someone else. My technician hit something on my exterior wall preventing the screw from going in all the way and just left it buckling my siding. He had to return to redo the gas lines that were incorrectly "secured" to the outside of my house putting extra screw holes in my siding. The county gas tech had to explain how to secure it so it could be hooked up to the gas meter. In the water tank closet he left a piece of drywall that was trash for me to clean up along with drywall dust from plugging the old lines. None of this should've happened considering the high cost they charge to hire them.

FALSE ADVERTISING ON THEIR “On time or we pay you” motto. I scheduled an appointment for a water heater replacement and was given a confirmation email with a timeframe of 8 AM to 12 PM for a specific day. The plumbers arrived over an hour late around 1:15 PM when I called and asked about their on time guarantee, they told me it did not apply because I didn’t make a regular appointment and instead scheduled a standby appointment. The confirmation email that I told them about clearly gives me a timeframe between 8 AM and noon and not a standby appointment. I never agreed to a standby appointment and was not told that over the phone. Nowhere on their website or any public facing documentation states that Information but they sure do promote their “we pay you if we’re late”. When I talked to the manager Ken, he also told me that in order to get that credit I had to pay for the appointment, no one told me that either. Do not do business with these scammers. They will bait and switch and come up with certain “rules” when it’s convenient for them.

Benjamin Franklin Plumbing was great! Lacey answered my call and she was not only friendly, but knowledgeable. She listened to my concerns and responded accordingly. Lacey confirmed everything with a manager and assured me of the services I would be receiving. Shortly after Travis called to confirm my appointment, get a better understanding of my needs, and give me his ETA. He was right on time when arriving. He went straight to work and addressed all of my concerns and issues with my electric tankless water heater. He provided a full walkthrough when the work was completed, and left his card for the future. I would recommend Benjamin Franklin Plumbing to anyone in a heartbeat. Great service all around!
