  Carolina Air is one of the most unprofessional companies I’ve ever dealt with. They fast talk and try to get over on woman! I called them for a simple fan repair on my outside unit. I was initially quoted around $500. Once the technician arrived, he started taking my unit apart — and then suddenly the price jumped to $1,800. No proper explanation, no approval, just a bait-and-switch. They left my unit taken apart and shut my power off, leaving me without a working system. When I called the company to fix what THEY messed up, I was told not to call back unless I was ready to pay $1,800. They refused to come back out and put my unit back together. Let that sink in — they created the problem, then tried to force me to pay an inflated price to fix it. I ended up hiring someone else who completed the SAME repair for $500, exactly what they told me it would be from the start. And let’s talk about customer service — the supervisor, Tom, was rude, dismissive, and had zero interest in resolving anything. Just straight disrespectful. This company operates like they’re trying to take advantage of people. Completely untrustworthy. Do NOT use Carolina Air. Get a second opinion before letting them touch anything.

  Had an issue with the condensation drain and the team came out right away and took care of it. Great customer service and grateful for a quick response to fixing the issue!

  Bobby waa very professional and offered some very useful tips for maintaining our a/c units working at peak performance. The office staff is also very friendly & helpful. I highly recommend their services!

  Carolina Air installed two new heat pumps for us 3 years ago. We’ve had a number of issues related to the thermostats they included (nest 3, horrible). But the real doozy was when we went to turn our A/C on for the season and the compressor wouldn’t turn on. Had them come out and look and apparently a connection in the copper tubing had a leak causing all the refrigerant to leak out. Could this have been caused during install? Could this have been caused by all the issues with the thermostat? No idea but I was very disappointed that they didn’t make any attempt to stand by the product they are selling and make this right considering this unit is only 3 years old and a top of the line Amana. The quoted us at $1500 for the repair which apparently included a 20% off discount for being part of their maintenance program. There was pressure to agree to the repair right then and there. We called 4Seasons and they came out right away and charged us $750 for the SAME repair. I’m not quite sure why they were trying to fleece us. The technician was very nice and seemed knowledgeable but we won’t be using Carolina Air in the future.

  This was for our new business and apparently there is only ONE tech that handles business accounts? That makes no sense. It does validate why they rescheduled once, 20 minutes before the tech was supposed to be there and then was an hour late for the final appointment. The residential guys are awesome, and Travis was great…when he finally made it. But the management of this group needs to keep their appointments and their word and take the heat off this ONE tech.
