My experience with the Williams Grove community by Stanley Martin has unfortunately been more stressful than expected. I am sharing only my personal experience and the facts of what occurred, in hopes that it helps future buyers and encourages improvements in communication.
Back in August, my partner and I toured a home with one of the sales representatives. We liked the home but were hesitant due to interest rates. During that time, we were informed that the home might be removed from the market until the following year, and that we would need to sign the contract and provide a deposit the next day if we wanted to move forward. We were even scheduled for a contract discussion meeting at 9 PM that night so we could review everything immediately. The contract reflected an estimated closing date of February, which aligned with our planning.
After the representative we initially worked with moved to another community, we continued with a new contact, who was generally helpful. However, communication with the construction team became difficult. During our pre-drywall inspection, we submitted a list of requested fixes. I followed up multiple times over several weeks requesting photos of the completed repairs before drywall installation. Although I was told multiple times that the photos would be sent, they were not provided until I went in person to request them—after drywall had already been installed. Because of this, I had to personally visit the site to verify the work myself.
Later, we learned that the closing date would be moved from the originally estimated February timeline to December, nearly two months earlier. This created significant complications for us, particularly due to an ongoing immigration-related process that impacts loan eligibility. Our agent spoke with sales leadership, and we initially received verbal confirmation that an extension to late January or early February could be accommodated. However, we were later told that December closing was still being pursued, which was confusing given the previous conversation.
Overall, the experience has involved inconsistent communication, unexpected scheduling changes, and a level of urgency early in the process that added to our stress. While we still like the home and appreciate aspects of the build, the overall buying experience has been challenging.
I hope sharing this helps others prepare for the process and encourages continued improvement in communication and transparency.

I had one of the most disappointing experiences dealing with the sales team at Williams Grove. After visiting the community multiple times and speaking with a representative over the phone—who mentioned new incentives—I decided to walk in again today with my family, expecting a smooth and straightforward process. We even skipped lunch to prioritize what we thought would be an important and exciting step toward purchasing our new home.
Originally, I had planned to co-purchase the home with a friend. However, due to financial reasons, he had to step back—a fact I had already discussed with the sales representative. After carefully considering our options, we decided on a $735K home with realtor discussion, even we spoke to complete our paper next 5:30 PM and were fully prepared to move forward. I entered my banking information for the 5% deposit, and the only step remaining was lot confirmation from the agent.
That’s when things took an unexpected and frustrating turn. The sales agent suddenly brought up the original co-purchase plan—despite knowing it was no longer active—and used it as a reason to delay and question the deal. It quickly became clear that internal politics and commission incentives were being prioritized over fairness and professionalism.
To make matters worse, the agent then asked for an additional $5K under the guise of needing “final approval,” all while giving preference to a different buyer who had walked in after us, claiming they had a prior appointment. Sales person (William Eble) says “I’m sorry”, I cannot do anything. The entire situation felt manipulative and insincere.
The way the narrative was flipped, the introduction of sudden hurdles, and the blatant favoritism created an incredibly stressful and disheartening experience. It was obvious that our family’s serious intent to buy was being sidelined in favor of other prospects, likely due to commission considerations.
Buying a home is a major decision that should be met with honesty and transparency. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. I strongly caution anyone considering working with this sales team—be vigilant and prepared for tactics that may put your time, energy, and trust at risk.
