We had a livestock shelter made and delivered this past week and the entire process was smooth sailing. Everyone we spoke to and worked with was extremely friendly and professional. The quality of our new building is exactly what we hoped for and should we ever need another shelter of this scale, we plan to work with Midwest Mini Barns again. We highly recommend them! Thank you.

We love the greenhouse we recently purchased from Midwest Mini Barns! We had this project in mind for several years but never found a local business to design what we needed. After talking with Kelly Young, we knew Midwest Mini Barns was the company we wanted to work with. Ordering, color choice, and design were a breeze and in just a few weeks our greenhouse was ready for delivery! Darin Yoder delivered, unloaded, put in place, leveled, anchored and completed the installation all by himself! It was remarkable to watch! Darin did a final walk-through with us and we are overjoyed! The craftsmanship is exceptional and we are very appreciative of their professionalism and exceptional customer-service. You couldn't find a better company to work with! Steve and Andrea - Smithville, MO.
Frequently Asked Questions About Midwest Mini Barns
What are the benefits of having a shed?

They can be repurposed as workspaces, hobby areas, or even additional living spaces, depending on the level of customization. The versatility of sheds makes them a valuable addition to any property.
How do I choose the right size for my shed?
Selecting the appropriate shed size involves assessing your storage requirements and available space. Measure the intended installation area before selecting a size that accommodates your needs without dominating your yard. Southern Living magazine notes that 120 square feet is the most common shed size. Contact Midwest Mini Barns to explore our extensive shed selection.
What materials are commonly used in building sheds?
Sheds are typically constructed using wood, metal, or plastic materials such as vinyl or resin. Each material offers distinct advantages in terms of durability, cost-effectiveness, and aesthetic appeal. For more detailed information about shed materials, please contact Midwest Mini Barns.
Do I need a permit to build a shed?
Permit requirements for shed construction vary based on your location and the shed's dimensions. It's advisable to consult your local building department to determine if a permit is necessary for your project. For expert guidance on shed regulations, please contact Midwest Mini Barns.
Can I customize the design of my shed?
Certainly. Many shed manufacturers offer customization options. You have the flexibility to select the dimensions, architectural style, color scheme, and additional features to align with your specific preferences and requirements.
How long does it take to build a custom shed?
The construction timeline for a custom shed can vary depending on factors such as size, design complexity, and the manufacturer's current workload. Typically, the process may take anywhere from several days to a few weeks. To initiate your shed project, please contact Midwest Mini Barns.
What maintenance does a shed require?
Shed maintenance typically involves regular exterior cleaning, inspecting for potential damage, and applying protective sealants or paint to wooden sheds to prevent rot and decay. For more detailed information about shed maintenance practices, please contact Midwest Mini Barns.
Can I install electricity and plumbing in my shed?
Installing electrical wiring and plumbing in sheds is feasible. However, it's recommended to engage a licensed professional to ensure proper installation that complies with safety standards and local building codes.
Are custom-built sheds more expensive than pre-built ones?
Custom-built sheds may have a higher initial cost due to their personalized design and construction process. However, they often provide superior quality and longevity, making them a valuable long-term investment for many property owners.
What factors should I consider when choosing a location for my shed?
When selecting a shed location, prioritize a level, well-drained area with convenient access to utilities. Ensure compliance with local zoning regulations and avoid obstructing views or pathways. Consider factors such as sun exposure and proximity to trees or other structures. As experienced shed providers, Midwest Mini Barns can assist you in determining the optimal location for your shed.
