The project manager we initially worked with was initially readily available, always checking in, and making promises all the way up to the point of signing the initial agreement. After the initial agreement was signed, it went downhill fast.
The first red flag was when I&E failed to show up to the damage assessment with the insurance adjuster. This was pre-scheduled 3 weeks out, communicated, and confirmed to my Project Manager at I&E. This ultimately led to a lot of additional and avoidable back/forth between I&E, myself, and my insurance over the duration of this project.
The 2nd red flag was when they submitted an estimate which included items that were not in their scope, and they had no intentions of doing (interior work, trees, personal property, etc). They stated they do that based off of the insurance estimate because it makes it easier for the insurance. This further complicated my insurance claim and other contractor’s estimates for things I&E was not able to do.
The 3rd red flag was when the became unreachable after submitting their initial estimate. Insurance had questions, I had questions…and the Project Manager would take weeks to return calls, texts, or emails. If responding to a text, he would responds with “I cannot call you right now, I’m busy” and I would not hear back from him. Their Sales Manager eventually contacted me after a few months of this, and proceeded to be my main point of contact.
The project consisted of replacing the roof on our house (as well as flashing/gutters/etc), replacing the roof of a detached structure, and replacing portions of siding on the house.
Once the work started they began by removing siding from 1 side of my house, realized they ordered the incorrect replacement siding, then packed up their tools and left. This left a large area of the side of my house completely exposed. I had to call to find out what was going on, and proactively request it be covered until they came back to finish the siding portion of the job, which ultimately took 3 months for something they said would be done in 2 days.
The work they did on the detached structure and chimney flashing was done very poorly. I&E initially tried defending the quality before they ultimately replaced both again.
The final red flag was with their documentation and invoicing. Their final invoice included charges for work they didn’t do, and materials they didn’t have any documentation of. This took over a month to partially resolve with them.
All in all, this company was absolutely terrible to work with.

Workers were very friendly and professional. I’m pleased with the work. My only complaint is that I didn’t get a receipt for final payment.

I dealt with Vince on a previous roof repair, and I wanted it done right the first time again. He got it done. He's quality and he's quantity. Call this man.
