We know you’ve seen them before; we have too! That’s right, a family of penguins traveling around St. Louis. No I’m not talking about penguins crossing the street or the penguins at the St. Louis Zoo; I’m talking about the Classic Aire Care vans!
Classic Aire Care’s van with the family of penguins is easily one of the most recognizable vehicles in St. Louis. With over 60 vans and trucks on all of St. Louis’ highways, the brightly colored orange and yellow vehicles are hard to miss. From all angles, our penguins are displayed proudly.
In addition to the penguins, our vans display the names of our legacy companies. Our family of companies include Ryan Heating, Donahue Heating and Air Conditioning, Schneider Services and South County Heating and Air Conditioning, now all part of the Classic Aire Care family. The orange and yellow as well as the penguin family are important to show our customers that our company operates under one umbrella and one management team.
Other than just being a cute mother penguin and her two babies, this penguin family is one of the first things any other driver sees and speaks volumes as to what Classic Aire Care is all about; family.
Just like the family of penguins, Classic Aire Care is a locally owned, family owned company. We choose to operate our business under the values in which we feel any family should operate; with trust, honesty, respect and communication. As a Classic Aire Care customer, we hope you’ll feel like a part of our family as well.
In addition to family, the Classic Aire Care penguins represent the level of service we hope to give every one of our customers. Most of the 17 penguin species thrive in cool climates. Although some are comfortable in temperatures warmer than Antarctica, all penguins rely on certain conditions to keep them comfortable. Just like penguins, we are most comfortable when our home’s temperatures and conditions are just right. Making sure your home remains comfortable is exactly our job!
Over the years, Classic Aire Care has asked our customers “How did you hear about us?” A surprising number of people see the Classic Aire Care penguin trucks and decide to call us for all their furnace, air conditioning and plumbing needs. Once they try us, they see why there are so many Classic Aire Care vans on the road. In the drivers’ seat of every van is a top-notch service technician, HVAC installer, plumber, drain technician or indoor air quality specialist that is on their way to make someone else more comfortable. We hope as a Classic Aire Care customer, seeing the penguin trucks and vans on the road brings you comfort and peace of mind that no matter what time of day, a Classic Aire Care service technician is in your area and just a phone call away. Now, we have to ask, how did YOU hear about us?

The repair person was rude. He told me that I replaced the air filter with the wrong filter. I explained I called and spoke with someone at the office but wasn’t convinced I was getting the right information so I called my salesperson who gave me the size but told me to buy the 24 instead of the 25 because it would fit easier. He went to the truck and put what he called was the right size in. He made sure he tried to sell a service warranty. Then said he wouldn’t charge me for the replacement and eluded that the ones I bought (which was a two pack) was useless to he. So I told him he could have them. Unprofessional is an understatement to say the least.

We made an emergency call to have our boiler serviced and the employee who answered the phone for the service call ensured us they would. We made it very clear we needed someone who knew how to work on a boiler, and the employee confirmed they could.
Fast forward, we leave work, respond back to our house to meet the technician and explain the issue we are having. The tech stated he doesn’t work on boilers then asked if he could take a look anyways.
Wasting more of our time, the tech takes a look and then has the audacity to request a service fee for him responding to our residence.
It doesn’t end there, even after we cleary explain the call taker guaranteed us they would send the appropriate person out, the tech wanted to still argue over the service fee.
Avoid this headache and look elsewhere.

Had an issue with our 26 year old furnace. We knew it was on it's last leg. The whole experience from start to finish from original diagnosis and replacement recommendation, to the sales side, and then the installation of the new furnace and AC unit was smooth. Every employee we had contact with was friendly and professional. Would have no problem recommending this company to anyone. Thank you for the great service!

The install process was great! The technicians were quick and efficient, and cleaned up after themselves. The 3-star rating is based on the post-install experience. Days after the install, the furnace stopped blowing hot air, on the coldest night of the year (-24 wind chill). The website states “Open 24/7” and that’s NOT accurate. I spoke to an AI bot which claimed it would schedule the next technician in the morning (this was 11 pm). I woke my Dad up to help us troubleshoot ourselves, Googling potential causes, messing with the breaker, shutting off the power, waiting 5 mins, turning back on.
We did this several times. It did not work. Because it was a brand new system, we were hesitant to mess with anything else. Thankfully we have a fireplace that we had to keep going all night to keep the pipes from bursting. We got zero sleep and had to work the next day. My husband ended up going to Home Depot at 6 am the next morning and spent over $300 on space heaters to keep the house somewhat warm. After no follow-up from Classic Aire Care in the morning, we called again and found out that a technician was never scheduled by the AI bot (shocking). Needless to say, a technician (who was great by the way) showed up around 11:30 am and was able to get the system going again but couldn’t figure out the root cause - maybe a loose wire? Since no root cause was found, I’ve been a little uneasy about the system and obsessively checking the thermostat and feeling the vents to ensure the furnace is blowing warm air. The fact that the website claims “24/7 support” made us comfortable with our decision to go with Classic Aire Care. However, after this experience, I’m not sure I would recommend this company to others solely based on the lack of support we received during a serious situation.
