I had a cedar deck refurbished that had deteriorated with age. The majority of the deck was replaced with new cedar boards and stained. They also added additional reinforcement boards to the existing infrastructure where they felt it was weak. They worked around the weather in the fall and completed the project correctly. All of my questions were answered to my satisfaction. A few minor retouches were needed and they came back to complete it. They wanted to make sure I was happy with the end result. I am very pleased with the result and would recommend this business to others. Great job!

The outside of our home and detached garage were painted in an excellent manner by this company. All done by hand instead of a machine. They were able to fix lots of cracks and surface damage to make it look new. The detached garage, prior to painting, had a terrible appearance compared to the house. Mark came up with a plan to use lattice strips to cover all the caulked seams. Now the garage and the house look beautiful together! They used quality paint which should hold up against the winter and summer weather for a long time. There were areas on the house which needed repaired. They were fixed and now look new. Overall, their work ethic is high! They worked long hours even in the hottest temperatures of Summer.

The was work done while my wife and I were traveling. I’m going to rate them in areas of work they performed. 1. Design Ideas Grade A - Mark has excellent vision with remodeling changes and use of current color trends. 2. Carpentry Grade A+ - Murphy, the carpenter for the company is a wizard and I can see why Mark employs him full time. He is loyal to the company and does quality work. Put in many hours to make sure our new railing was perfect and it shows. 3. Tile Work Grade B+ - Installed a white subway tile backsplash in our kitchen which looks great and grout lines and tile placement is excellent. Only exception is the same grout was used to fill in between the tile and our granite countertop. The grout has cracked and peeled away which I had to replace with a siliconized ceramic tile grout the same color. 4. Electrical Grade C- Crew was supposed to install three power outlets above the kitchen cabinets and only two were installed. The bill was adjusted for the third one that wasn’t installed. One of the outlets installed didn’t work because the wires supplying power to it from below weren’t connected. So once again it was something I fixed. 5. Painting Grade F - Let me put it this way, they have no business claiming to be a painting company. It appeared to me the crew just slapped a coat of paint on things and if I found the errors then they would take care of it. I found areas that were supposed to receive two coats of paint didn’t get any. I was told to just highlight the areas with blue tape. So that became my job to find their errors instead of a professional painter making sure there weren’t any errors. We had a $9,000 hardwood floor installed last year (not by them) and during the bidding process my wife and I explicitly asked Mark on two separate visits to make sure our floor was protected during the project. He told us it would be covered in paper and drop cloths and we need not worry. It would be taken care of. We got home and most of the work had been completed except some cleanup and some painting. So after inspecting the work more closely I found the painting crew not only didn’t do a good job but had gotten paint on our new wood floor. Mind you the floor isn’t smooth because it’s manufactured wood with several different textures to it. Needless to say paint got into the small grooves and wasn’t going to come off easily. Being a manufactured wood no petroleum based cleaners can be used on the surface. When the crew arrived the next morning I met them outside and explained my total frustration over the floor and poor quality painting. They assured me they would fix it to our satisfaction and come back as many times as needed to make that happen. I’ll save time and explain it this way. The floor isn’t going to be fixed because areas that the painters spent on their knees scrubbing with brushes to remove the paint marred the surface of the floor that can’t be covered with a cosmetic stain pen. It was tried and it stood out more then the pen. One of the painters was fixing an area in the kitchen and once again had no coverings on our black granite countertops. I wanted to throw him out of my house. Especially after I had just talked to them earlier about the paint on the floor and other areas. I showed him paint drops on the granite and he took care of it. Needless to say I didn’t have much confidence in the painters after that. 6. Quality Control Grade F - Mark will tell you more than once that he’s OCD but his actions surely don’t prove it. His own crew said he rarely shows up at a worksite once the bid is done and any work he does is finished. Recently I discovered small paints drops on my antique oak buffet. I was livid! I sent pictures and never heard back. I told Mark earlier there was no need to contact me about my floor because there is no solution he can offer. So he must have assumed I was done with him. He is 100% right now. While there were many things done right with our job the quality is not worth the $23,000 spent. I should have taken other action but maybe this review will be better.

Mark and his team did an excellent job with our kitchen painting and tile work. Everyone involved was very friendly and professional. Additionally, communication was extremely good, which is often a gap with a remodeling team. The results were especially impressive given the poor state of the kitchen "tile" (e.g. stick on tile...) previously. Looking forward to giving them more of my business in the future.
