Joe and his team did a terrific job for us! They finished changing out the flooring in four different rooms in under the time they estimated it would take. Everyone we dealt with was professional and polite. Joe responded immediately to any of our questions, and met the timeline that he promised for beginning the project. I would highly recommend Flooring Rehab Company!!

Frequently Asked Questions About Flooring Rehab Company
What types of flooring are best for homes in St. Louis?
At Flooring Rehabs, we recommend selecting flooring materials that effectively manage St. Louis' variable humidity levels and seasonal temperature fluctuations. Our research shows that local homeowners frequently research hardwood, LVP, laminate, and tile options when evaluating alternatives online. Recommended selections for this region include Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP), which offers waterproof durability and widespread popularity; engineered hardwood, which provides greater stability than solid hardwood in our fluctuating climate; tile, which performs exceptionally well in bathrooms, kitchens, and basements; and laminate, which delivers cost-effectiveness for high-traffic areas. Our team provides personalized guidance to help you select materials that align with your specific home requirements, budget constraints, and lifestyle needs.
How much does flooring installation cost in St. Louis?
Installation costs vary based on several factors including material selection, total square footage, installation complexity, and whether existing flooring requires removal. Most homeowners begin by researching comparative pricing online before contacting a flooring contractor. At Flooring Rehabs, we conduct thorough in-home consultations to provide comprehensive, transparent pricing information, ensuring you have complete clarity regarding project costs.
How do I choose the right flooring for high-traffic areas or homes with pets?
Many homeowners research durable flooring solutions capable of withstanding children, pets, and regular household activity. For these situations, we particularly recommend: LVP, which offers waterproof and scratch-resistant properties ideal for pets; tile, which represents the most durable option for busy households; laminate, which performs well in active areas (though should be avoided in moisture-prone spaces); and engineered hardwood, which demonstrates greater stability compared to solid wood. Our specialists will assist you in evaluating durability characteristics, aesthetic preferences, and long-term performance considerations.
Do you offer free in-home estimates and measurements?
Flooring Rehabs provides complimentary, no-obligation in-home estimates. Industry research indicates that homeowners prefer clear explanations of service processes before making initial contact, and addressing these procedural questions enhances trust and conversion rates. Your comprehensive estimate includes professional measurements, material and design recommendations, and a detailed installation pricing breakdown.
How long does flooring installation usually take?
Installation timeframes vary by project, though research shows homeowners frequently seek timeline information as part of their decision-making process. General installation durations include: LVP/laminate typically requiring 1-2 days, tile installations spanning 2-4 days, and hardwood projects taking 2-5 days (with additional time needed for refinishing work). We provide precise project timelines before commencing any installation work.
Can Flooring Rehabs install new flooring over my existing floors?
In numerous situations, this approach is feasible. LVP and certain laminate products can be installed over existing flooring, which represents a common homeowner inquiry since this method potentially reduces both costs and disruption. However, we cannot install over floors that exhibit unevenness, water damage, or loose/failing conditions. Our specialists thoroughly evaluate your subfloor condition during your complimentary inspection.
What's the difference between LVP, laminate, hardwood, and tile?
Research indicates that over 62% of homeowners begin their flooring project by researching material types online, making this one of the most frequently searched industry questions. A brief comparison reveals: LVP offers waterproof durability with realistic wood appearance; laminate provides scratch resistance at affordable price points; hardwood delivers longevity with refinishing capability; and tile excels in moisture-prone areas with exceptional durability. Our team guides clients through each option's characteristics to facilitate confident decision-making.
Does Flooring Rehabs offer hardwood floor refinishing, and how does it work?
Yes, we provide hardwood refinishing services, which often present a more economical alternative to complete replacement. This represents one of the most commonly researched flooring services. Our comprehensive refinishing process includes sanding the existing wood surfaces, repairing identified imperfections, applying stain to achieve your desired color, and finishing with protective coatings. This process restores your floors to like-new condition without incurring replacement costs.
Are your flooring products waterproof or water-resistant?
Searches for waterproof and water-resistant flooring solutions are particularly common among homeowners, especially for basement and kitchen applications. Our waterproof options include LVP and tile, while water-resistant selections encompass laminate and certain engineered hardwood products. We assist clients in selecting appropriate moisture protection levels based on specific room requirements and lifestyle considerations.
Do you handle removal and disposal of old flooring?
Yes, Flooring Rehabs provides complete removal and disposal services. This operational detail ranks among the most frequently searched questions for flooring companies, as homeowners seek clarity before scheduling estimation appointments. Any removal-related costs are clearly outlined during your estimate consultation, eliminating unexpected charges.
