I would not recommend this company. While the actual installation work was completed adequately, the overall customer service experience was disappointing and uncomfortable.
After purchasing a new water heater from Lowe’s, we contacted this company for installation. They were prompt and arrived on time, which I appreciated. However, the technician, Stan, focused heavily on sales rather than the installation itself. He spent a significant amount of time criticizing the water heater we had already purchased and attempting to sell us a different unit directly through him.
When discussing pricing, he explained that they do not provide quotes but would instead give an exact price. After spending approximately 30 minutes in his truck, he returned with four different “package” options ranging from $5,000 to $10,000, rather than simply providing the cost to install the water heater we already owned. The sales presentation felt excessive and unnecessary for what should have been a straightforward installation. We were also encouraged to sign up for a monthly membership program that would prioritize our service calls over non-members, which made us uncomfortable.
When I asked for alternative pricing options, his response implied that we were getting on his nerves and wasting his time. The tone felt dismissive and unprofessional.
In addition to the water heater installation, we asked him to look at a leak in our bathtub. He believed he identified the issue, and we agreed to order a replacement hose. Ultimately, we were charged a little over $1,500 to install the water heater we had already purchased and to order the small tub part.
It took over an hour for him to present and attempt to sell the various packages..
We were told the bathtub part would arrive within a couple of days, but it took closer to one to two weeks before we were notified. When the technician returned to install it, he had ordered the wrong part. At that point, due to the ongoing experience, we chose not to continue working with the company. He continued suggesting additional costly repairs. After we declined and requested a refund for the incorrect part (which had already been paid for), he stated he would contact his supervisor to process it and mentioned there might be a restocking fee — despite the incorrect part being ordered by their company.
Overall, the sales pressure and unprofessional demeanor overshadowed the work that was completed. I will not use this company again.
The only positive part of our experience was the woman who answered the phones, I believe her name was Jessica. She was consistently kind, professional, and helpful.
