At Beyond the Backyard we are a family based business that takes pride in taking care of our customers. We are husband and wife (Jason & Shawna) who love nothing more than helping people find the right storage for their needs, at the right price.
Horrible workmanship at best. Over-Promised and Underbuilt. If you disagree with them then they will just block you and delete your comment so they look good on Facebook for everyone. I would NEVER recommend these people to ANYBODY. 1 star is too many… 0/5 stars, worst customer service! See pictures attached of a $23k build of theirs… $23,000!

Edit! The owner has agreed to refund so it sounds like they are indeed making this right, I will remove this review once that happens. Over $11k half down for a kennel. They sub to someone who has never built this type of structure. Was supposed to be done months ago, pictures showed structure not built to agreed specs. Drove to inspect before delivery and the craftsmanship would gain zero stars. No one would be satisfied with their workmanship (first photo is the facility where the kennel was built) Beyond the backyard deleted my question on their page and blocked me. Proceed with extreme caution.

“Clean, strong, professional facility.”
If that is the standard being presented publicly, then sharing current, unedited photos of the kennel being built for my father would seem appropriate.
The project was quoted at 5–6 weeks and is now at 16 weeks, despite an $11,500 deposit being paid upfront. There has been no clear explanation for the extended delay, no firm completion date provided, and the decision to subcontract the work to someone who does not specialize in kennel construction has resulted in noticeable quality concerns.
As the contracted builder, the timeline, subcontracting decisions, and workmanship all fall under your responsibility.
Is this the kind of quality and professionalism $23,000 gets a customer?
What is your immediate plan to correct these issues and bring the project to completion?

We bought a storage shed and a greenhouse. Waited almost a month for delivery. When the buildings were on their way to us the delivery driver had an accident (sideswiped car on a narrow road because of a bridge detour on Hwy 47) the only damage was a scraped down the side on the storage shed. The driver paid us for the touch up paint, (I know the accident is/was going to cost him more than the paint) so it was not a big issue. There were some panels on the greenhouse that we knew that had to be replaced but we knew about that before (again no big deal). The purchase of the buildings was easy, setting up finance was also easy. I would recommend beyond the backyard but just don’t be in a hurry for the delivery.

Quality built buildings, the entire staff is super friendly, knowledgeable, and professional, and they are super quick with all the paperwork,it took longer for me to pick out the building I wanted than it did for them to get all the paperwork done,in total I was probably in the office for about 10 minutes and that was it.I would highly recommend anyone wanting to buy a building for whatever you need it for to definitely come here,I no I wont go anywhere else,oh and they have a very large selection of buildings on site and they will also build you a building any way you want it built, thank you to the whole team for making the whole process hassles free and easy sincerely Scott.
