- CSChris ShottonJul 27, 20181.0Very poor business experience with a local company!! I Do not recommend! Tried to go with a local company and they burned me! I contacted Tandem to pave a very large new construction residential driveway, 360 ft llong. They showed up with a proposal a price and a hand shake. The bid seemed fair And we set a date, that was critical to me and they knew it as I am finalizing the construction of my new home. (No closing with out a drive) 3 weeks before the start date I sent an email to ensure we were on track! No response! I left voicemails! No response! Finally the week before scheduled start date they call me to say we cant do it this month MAYBE sometime next month. (MAYBE) ! I CC'd the owner in the email stream, no response from him! I asked when! Give me a date! they didn't know. And never got back to me. This was a critical job for the closing of my house and they could care less! This cost me time and money! I Tried to support local and got burned. I went with an out of town company that did it $3,000 cheaper and did an outstanding job. This was a company that a handshake was a promise.
