- SFSteve Fehr1 day ago1.0Summary: Jerry Kelly told me I needed a new furnace. Busch Heating and Cooling cleaned a couple of parts and the furnace worked fine. Detail: Our furnace was firing up and then shutting back down after 10 seconds. I contacted Jerry Kelly and they came out to diagnose the problem. The repairman told me I had a week sensor, a marginal capacitor, and most importantly, a cracked heat exchanger. Because of the cracked heat exchanger he told me that he was required to shut off the gas and put a warning card on the line. He also arranged for a salesman to come to my house at the same time he was there to provide a quote on a new furnace (and air conditioner if I was feeling flush). After being presented with a quote, I verbally agreed to the new furnace. While this was going on, I had provided my son-in-law with information about the problem and the serial number of my American Standard furnace. After Jerry Kelly had left, my son-ibn-law had found that my heat exchanger was still under warranty. I immediately called the salesman and put a hold on my new furnace. I contacted an American Standard recommended company, Busch Heating and Cooling in Arnold. Two days later the technician arrived. He cleaned a couple of parts and the furnace has been working perfectly since then. And.. there's been no follow up by Jerry Kelly. You draw your own conclusions.

Our furnace has a few cracks in it so we had Jerry Kelly come out to give us a bid for a new furnace and air conditioning unit, the bid was $18,900. I live in a 1500 sq ft home not overly large by any means. We then had two other companies come out and both bid us $11,000 now tell me how they need almost double the price. Can’t speak for the work they do but I found the price absurd to say the least. They also weren’t as personal as the other two bids, they didn’t explain anything to me it just felt like a money grab.
