  First, the good: Luminous is very easy to deal with. They came out quickly to quote and basically started the work the next week. Their showroom is great and their reps are knowledgeable and polite. Communication was lacking, however, and I never knew when the team would be arriving, or what they would be working on unless I asked specifically. The bad: The team came to remove the old carpet and baseboards while I was out of town, and install was to begin on Monday after I arrived back. However, without telling me, they began install on Friday. The trouble is I had planned to clean and secure the old subfloor myself before install (luminous assured me they would prepare the subfloor and secure any loose boards, but to be honest I didn’t trust this.) Unfortunately, my hunch was correct and they did not clean the subfloor or secure any boards, so the portion that they installed has squeaks and cracks as you walk on it. In the attached photo, you can see that they literally installed a run over old, loose floor tile and debris. The remaining visible floor tiles took me about 2 minutes to remove. And instead of removing the previous run of boards to clean out the debris underneath, they just continued on. And now there is a noticeable dip in the floor where the debris sits under the new floor. There are also noticeable gaps between several boards, which will now catch dust and dirt. When I brought these issues up, I was told that my rep would be visiting the site to see what could be done to fix the issues. I am not aware of any visit, nor was any solution proposed. At the very least I expected a discount in return for the subpar work performed, but none was offered. Bottom line, they do an okay job with actual installation, but with no attention to detail. I wouldn’t recommend going with luminous, but if you do, watch their installers like a hawk and don’t let them cut corners like they did with our floor.

  We recently had our floors re-sanded and stained Luminous Flooring were professional, knowledgeable and did exceptional work We particularly grateful to Thomas and Jesse for the care and meticulous work they performed, great communication and service in every aspect. They made the experience so easy and worked long hours with other team members Grace, at reception, provided valuable information and we are so appreciative for everyone's help We recommend Luminous Flooring whole heartedly !

  I highly recommend this company. The home office is responsive and caring. The two workers they sent to do my wood floors were stupendous! They were two very hard working men that really went the extra mile. The floors look fabulous. They clean up and leave the home as they found it. I wish I had a reason to hire them again. SUPERSTARS!

  This company was fabulous.They were always timely, their bid was very competitive, their installation was done with great care for the rest of the house and done very professionally. Their instructions for maintaining the new floor were comprehensive. They gladly answered every question asked. I would refer them to anyone
