I never, ever write reviews, but the service I received from Crestside Ballwin was simply EXTRAORDINARY (5 stars does not nearly encapsulate it). And in a sea of service providers that, on the surface, look similar, I feel compelled to share my experience.
After receiving conflicting advice from three different service providers, it came to my attention that I had a cracked heat exchanger and that my furnace posed a safety hazard (one company said the heat exchanger was cracked during routine maintenance, then another company found no issues with the unit and the third company that I called out of abundance of caution for my family said the heat exchanger was cracked). The last company literally left my house on Friday afternoon telling me that I could not use my furnace, but provided no immediate solutions to get my heat safely back on in the near future (I indicated that I wanted to replace the heat exchanger, which was under warranty, but no one could tell me when that could happen…it had to go to another team, which had apparently already left for the weekend). I have a young family, so we had no heat over the cold winter weekend and I was not sure when the heat could be back on again…
By chance, on Saturday evening, I spoke to some family members that had positive experiences with Crestside Ballwin – Crestside Ballwin, who had been their service provider for years, had literally replaced their furnace weeks ago for nearly the price I was being quoted to replace my heat exchanger (again, which was under warranty). So, in a moment of desperation, I messaged the online chat for Crestside Ballwin at 8p on Saturday night, thinking I would just get an AI response…mostly asking if I should just replace the furnace, rather than replace the heat exchanger, given the cost. I’d say approximately 30 minutes to an hour later, I received a text message from Jeff, one of the owners. Assuming he could get the part, and assuming it was under warranty, he could get the heat back on quickly and for an amount that was a fraction of what I was being quoted by the two other companies that had diagnosed the issue. He told me he would have some answers by Monday morning at 9a. As promised, he contacted me Monday morning, and by 1:30p Monday afternoon, the new heat exchanger was installed, and my heat was back on!!!
As I said, the service I received from Crestside Ballwin was extraordinary, and as a young widow with a young family, I am truly grateful. Responsive. Honest. Compassionate. Helpful. I will never again go elsewhere for my AC/furnace services, and I will be recommending their services to anyone that asks.
