  I had the best experience with these guys! It was super easy and no pressure to make a decision. Installation took no time at all and I didn't have to do a single thing. Highly recommend Northern Door.

  This company came recommended by neighbors. They came out the same day to replace broken springs on my double garage door. The tech worked quickly and answered my questions. In addition to installing the new springs, he raised the torsion bar center support (which was too low), oiled the rollers and bearings, and was finished in less than an hour. Pricing was the lowest I found calling around (~$360 for two springs in Jan ‘24 and unlike many others they didn’t hesitate to tell me what it would cost over the phone). He also told me—which I didn’t know—that the springs, rollers, and bearings should be lubricated twice a year (with 30wt motor oil). My garage door now moves much more smoothly and quietly than it did before. Highly recommended.

  Excellent service... a spring on my garage door broke, I brought the spring in (they insisted thankfully... apparently there are many different springs) and hooked me up with the correct replacement at a great price!

  A cable broke on my garage door. Called them and they came out same day. Gentleman fixed the cable and sold us additional work. Understood everything and the work he did was pretty good. This is where the problem occurred. He hand wrote in a price signed it and took my card information to charge me. Then 2 days later I get a receipt in the mail for $80.00 more than the signed price I was quoted. I called them and they returned my call to explain to me that he forgot to charge me labor. Look I used to be a service advisor for an independent car shop so I understand people misquote things and mistakes happen. However, NEVER would I charge a client for more than the quoted price prior to calling them. I WOULD NEVER ASSUME THAT IS OKAY TO DO TO ONE OF MY CLIENTS! With that said I don't mind paying the technician for the work he did. I will not be using them in the future because I no longer trust them. UPDATE: The owner of the company sent me a letter in the mail. It states that this was a mistake and refunded the additional $80.00. It was a wonderful thing to see that the owner cares about his companys reputation and his clients. Though the trust will need to be rebuilt, if I ever need work in the future I might give these guys another chance.
