When K&S opened it’s doors in 1988, it was our goal then, and is still our goal today, to have a company that could promise “One Call Does It All” when it comes to your home comfort. In addition, regardless of the project, K&S NEVER has to hire a sub-contractor. We have the ability to take everything we do from start to finish with just our staff. This approach to business provides unsurpassed convenience to our customers!

    There I was…. Toilet running. I tried to fix it and broke the screw that held the float in place. Leak getting worse. Water water … would not stop. Panicking… Then I finally found the shutoff. Whew! Time to make a call. Rick was there to save me from fixing it myself (which seldom works). His work was fast and flawless. The price was right and once again I am back to calmness in my home. Thank you so much, Rick. You saved the day! Patti

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for Chris E. | 0/5 for K&S Heating, Air Conditioning (company) Chris E. was professional, respectful, and thorough during today’s visit. He took the time to explain what he found, answered questions clearly, and corrected an issue properly. I want to be very clear: Chris did his job well, and I do not hold him responsible for what he discovered. What he found, however, is deeply concerning. Our furnace was installed incorrectly from the beginning, with the exhaust/intake reversed, and this went undetected for 7+ years despite paying over $1,400 for annual inspections and maintenance through K&S. This was not a minor oversight — it is a basic installation issue that should have been caught during installation or any of the many yearly checks that followed. The explanation given — that this “wasn’t part of the protocol until recently” — is unacceptable. If a safety-critical installation detail is missed for years because it’s not on a checklist, that points to a systemic failure in training, quality control, and accountability. Chris fixed the issue at no cost, which I appreciate, but that does not erase: • years of missed inspections • money paid for services that failed to identify the problem • or the erosion of trust in the company’s workmanship and oversight In summary: Chris E. deserves full credit for professionalism and competence. K&S Heating, as a company, failed at installation, inspection, and long-term accountability.

    Excellent service by Chris E! Just had our furnace fixed in Rochester, MN. The igniter went out in the middle of winter while we were out of town and the temperature was dropping pretty quickly. We’ve had some pipes freeze before, and it caused a lot of damage, so we contacted K&S Heating, AC, Plumbing, and Electrical. They sent Chris E. over and he got us fixed up right away! Saved us from any significant damages. Great interaction and communication throughout, very knowledgeable and thoughtful, and overall a pleasure to do business with! Thanks again! -Bruce G

    My kitchen faucet broke. I called K and S plumbing. They stated they would come on Monday (this was reasonable since this was just after Christmas). It snowed Sunday, and I was contacted on Monday the weather and roads were too bad and they would need to reschedule until Tuesday. The time they gave me was between noon and 4 PM. I called at 3:15 PM since I had not heard from the technician. Oh, on Monday I made two trips from my house to Rochester. The roads were fine. The technician called almost immediately after I had made my call and showed up about 25 minutes later. He was professional and polite. Just for the visit was going to cost me 80 dollars. I had the sink ready and had removed all the materials stored under the sink. It had more been 5 days without my sink. After looking at it he agreed the faucet was broke. He said he could supply the part out I could purchase one. I had a part already and the technician said it would work. Then he said he couldn’t do it today and tomorrow was a holiday. He said the appointment office would contact me later today. They did not. I was called on the day after but have not returned the call yet. Their estimate to fix the faucet was 443.00. I then asked if they could replace the entire sink since the faucet I had would have come from that. He stated that would as another 650.00 dollars to the tab. It would total over 1100. 00 dollars. To me that seemed way overpriced. My biggest disappointment was that I called the company to say I have a broken faucet and it cost me 80 dollars for a technician to come out for 20 minutes and say I had a broken faucet and not fix it. I was willing to pay that day with cash. It’s like going to a doctor with your arm broken in half just to say yep it’s broken but we’ll fix it in the future but just for looking you owe me money. I am disappointed to say the least

    We cannot say enough good things about K&S and their technician Chris. While we were away, our furnace stopped working during freezing temperatures, putting our home and pipes at serious risk. Chris came out promptly, diagnosed the issue, and fixed our furnace despite the brutal cold—literally preventing our pipes from freezing and saving us from what could have been major damage. His professionalism, knowledge, and willingness to go above and beyond gave us total peace of mind while we were out of town. Communication was excellent, the repair was handled efficiently, and it was clear he truly cared about doing the job right. We are incredibly grateful for Chris and the K&S team and would highly recommend them to anyone needing reliable, trustworthy HVAC service—especially in an emergency.
