  In August 2025, I placed a tile order with Kate-Lo for over $2,000. I ordered a single color tile for the floor, shower, and trim, but the warehouse team incorrectly pulled a different shade. The color mismatch was only noticed after my contractor had already installed the tile. Upon returning to Kate-Lo, I was relieved to find that the correct color was still in stock, as this specific tile was soon to be discontinued. However, I was required to pay full retail price for the new tile. A service representative gave me the sales manager's name and number, Jed Seeger. When I spoke with him, he offered a $93 credit on the $231 mistake—a gesture I found to be inadequate. I quickly realized this was likely not his first time handling this specific error, as he was unwilling to negotiate. Mr. Seeger insisted that my contractor was also responsible for the mistake because they did not call out the color difference before installation. While it's true the product should have been double-checked, my contractor's job was to install, not to verify the warehouse's order. As a result, they understandably charged me an additional $400 for the re-installation. I am disappointed that Jed Seeger had no intention of offering more than the bare minimum. A full refund of the $231 would have been a fair gesture toward an excellent customer experience, but his response showed no regard for the significant inconvenience and cost caused by the company's error. Unfortunately, it's clear that excellent customer service is not a priority at Kate-Lo, particularly not for Jed Seeger. I would advise other customers to be cautious.

  Typically I don't write reviews, but due to my outstanding experience with Mike Bull and the Kate Lo Tile & Stone center I had to write. My experience began when we heard about Kate Lo from friends and stopped in to look around. Kate Lo has a huge selection of discounted tile and we picked out different tile for two bathrooms and a large kitchen/dining room area. For the bathrooms we picked out room floor tile, shower tile, and various highlight tiles. For the Kitchen/dining are we picked floor tile and a matching sink backsplash. All the rooms were color coordinated including custom grout colors. I am very impressed by Mike Bull's attention to detail, polite professionalism, easy going demeanor, and his ability to multitask with other customers & phone-in business. Mike gently asked questions and helped us determine our needs based on our dimensions and descriptions of what we were trying to accomplish. Mike is a former floor installer and very knowledgeable regarding the best way to prepare the space, what products are available, and what products would work best for the situation at hand. Additionally Mike promptly takes care of problems as they arise. My wife and I used an installer based upon a friends referral who made basic mistakes which he was unwilling to fix. He pretended to have expertise and experience, but after working over twice as long as his estimated completion time, he walked off the job and quit leaving us hanging with an incomplete remodel job. We had to re-do some of his work and find another contractor to finish the job. Mike Bull is a great resource for technical questions, he knows what he has in inventory, and he was able to quickly do add-on orders and advise us on the best way to correct errors of our former installer.
