Superior Classic Inc provides commercial roofing, roof installation, metal roofing, and commercial solar installation to the Minneapolis-Saint Paul, MN metro area.
This company was great until I had problems with leaks in my roof that they installed. The company does not honor their warranty, comes up with excuses for leaking such as "condensation," and refuses to even look at problems in person. They put plywood over old rotting plywood without removing the old stuff and did not attach the roof properly in areas over my garage and around skylights. The roofing material itself has been fine, but it was not attached at all or not attached correctly in several places. This led to leaking around a skylight, which I fixed myself with Gorilla Glue tape; leaking into my garage where the roofing pulled away from my brick wall where the sealant did not hold and was not anchored (Superior Classic claimed that my home is old and deteriorating), and then was not attached properly with flashing around my fireplace which has led to leaking, rotting of the plywood roofing below the roofing material, and black mold. The plywood that they put on was put on right over old, rotten plywood apparently (according to someone working on repairs). This is apparently one of the other things that identifies poor roofing practices.

Bill and Troy came to give me a bid. They said they'll replace the roof. They lied to me by saying that they need more money for a different product as the original product wasn't available in the country. When we refuse to pay them ANY more money, They refused to give back the $46,000 down payment. They have done zero job. They claim that they used the money to buy materials from menards that they can return. We are taking legal action against them now. Please don't trust Them with Anything. They are scamers. I will be in touch with BBB as well as department of labor and the attorney General.

Frequently Asked Questions About Superior Classic Inc.
What types of commercial roofing systems do you work on?
We service a variety of commercial roofing systems, including TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, built-up roofing, metal roofing, and roof coatings. After inspecting your existing roof, we'll recommend the most effective repair or replacement solution for your building.
How do I know if my commercial roof needs repair or full replacement?
Warning signs include repeated leaks, damaged membranes, ponding water, compromised flashing, storm damage, increased energy bills, or noticeable wear. Repairs often extend roof life, but when damage is extensive or the roof is approaching the end of its service life, replacement typically offers better long-term value.
How long does a commercial roof last?
Lifespan varies based on the roofing system, quality of installation, weather conditions, maintenance practices, and drainage efficiency. Most commercial roofs last between 15 and 30 years, though consistent inspections and maintenance can significantly impact longevity.
Do you offer commercial roof inspections and maintenance plans?
Yes, we do. Routine inspections and proactive maintenance identify minor issues before they turn into costly problems. A maintenance plan minimizes emergency repairs, prolongs roof life, and safeguards both your building and your budget.
Can you repair roof leaks and storm damage quickly?
Absolutely. We provide leak detection, emergency roof repairs, and storm damage restoration for commercial properties. Quick action is critical since water intrusion can compromise insulation, interiors, equipment, and business operations.
Will business operations need to stop during the roofing project?
Not necessarily. We can often schedule commercial roofing projects in phases to minimize disruption to tenants, staff, customers, and daily business activities. Our goal is to keep the work area safe, well-organized, and efficient throughout the process.
Do you provide roof coatings or restoration as an alternative to replacement?
Yes, when appropriate. If your current roof has solid structural integrity, a restoration system or coating can extend its service life, enhance energy efficiency, and reduce costs compared to a complete replacement. We'll assess whether your roof qualifies for this option.
Do you help with insurance claims for storm or hail damage?
Yes, we assist with insurance claims. When your commercial roof sustains damage from wind, hail, or severe weather, we'll document the condition and guide you through the inspection and claims process. Thorough documentation is essential for successful claims.
How much does commercial roofing cost?
Pricing varies depending on roof size, roofing system, tear-off needs, insulation requirements, accessibility, drainage concerns, and overall project scope. Following an inspection, we'll provide a comprehensive estimate and clearly explain your available options.
Why should I choose a commercial roofing specialist instead of a general roofer?
Commercial roofing differs significantly from residential work. It requires specialized materials, drainage systems, building codes, safety protocols, and installation techniques. A contractor with commercial roofing expertise can accurately diagnose issues and recommend the most appropriate solutions for your property.
