  Soderlin Plumbing has done work at my house for over 20 years - everything from clogged drains to replacing toilets and installing sinks, to fixing low water pressure, a safer water shutoff valve, repairing the upstairs tub drain that had leaked into the ceiling in the kitchen, and a shower dripping in an upstairs bathroom. My house in South Minneapolis was built in the 1930s. It's challenging to deal with plumbing problems in older houses and I trust Soderlin Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning to handle them - no matter how difficult - with the best solution that also preserves the existing structure wherever possible.

  A few years ago, my newly purchased house needed a new boiler installed because the old one was old and didn't' pass the inspection. I was a first time home owner and soderlin came out to take a look. They recommended an electric boiler to me, saying they are more efficient to run. When we talked about running costs, the technician told me since my unit was so small (927sq feet), that it wouldn't cost that much more to run during the winter compared to a gas boiler. Well, I have now gone through two winters and the heating bills have been astronomical, averaging between $400-600 a month with the thermostat only set to 62 degrees. I feel I was mislead and feel really disappointed in the service I received as a first time home owner. I am now stuck with an expensive electric boiler unit and every year absolutely dread the winter because of the extremely high operating costs.

  While my most recent experience with Soderlin Plumbing was for a simple replacement of parts in a toilet tank, I have utilized them throughout the years for the ultimate plumbing job (replacing all the plumbing in the house) and everything in between. I have always been able to get an appointment within a couple days. All staff I have interacted with have been highly experienced and able to explain what they are doing and the relevant costs. I appreciate that Soderlin regularly publishes coupons in neighborhood newspapers, as well as periodically sending me a thank you discount on my next service in the mail. I have always had one of these coupons or discounts on hand to save some money on each of my service calls. I also appreciate that Soderlin accepts all credit cards for payment without charging additional fees for doing so.

  Hard to find experienced plumbers like this that you can trust! Our St Paul house has been around about as long as Soderlin if you can believe it! Joel was awesome to work with. We have a claw foot tub faucet that has been leaking. After surveying the whole home plumbing situation, Joel took the time to make sure we understood the pricing and risks for each solution, and completed the repair we needed today at a reasonable price. My wife is happy and that’s what matters the most to me. Thank you Joel!
