- JDJoe Dirienzo6 days ago1.0SCAM Furnace wasn’t working so we had an Apollo Tech come to look at it. He said he could get it working by replacing the high limit switch for $800 but he wouldn’t feel safe doing that because the heat exchanger was cracked and it would leak carbon monoxide. I was setup with a salesman the next day to sell me a new furnace. I was told I had to make a decision that day if I wanted to use the “discount” they had going on. I got a second opinion and he replaced the high limit switch for $20 (instead of $800). He also didn’t see any cracks in the heat exchanger and saw no trace of carbon monoxide with his meter. Apollo tried to scare us into buying a new furnace and pressured us into making the decision fast.

The tech explained what was wrong and what our options were. We went with installing a new furnace and the tech was able to tell me about a few options to choose from and price range that would work. Apollo was able to come the very next day and install the furnace within 3 to 4 hours and leaned up any mess explained the maintenance for future. It was a great experience
