- DLDuane LarsonFeb 12, 20242.0Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about the products they sell. Purchased some +2000 feet of Popular baseboard last fall while remodeling house. All boards were 9-11 ft long and every board had plainer marks for the first 6-10 inches and last 6-10 inches of each board. Could not sand marks out and did not stain well. Brought this issue up and was told they would talk to their suppliers. I waited all winter for some kind of settlement since baseboards were almost $8.00 per foot. I ended up losing over a foot to almost 2 ft per board. I approached staff a couple of weeks ago and still have not had any response as to any settlement of the issue. I lost over 2 boards in unusable scrap. At this point I would not trust their hardwood supplier to actually provide me with lumber unless money was no option and had time to sand down at least an 1/8 inch of thickness out of each board they would provide. I would not plan on purchasing any hardwood from Builders Choice unless they fix their supplier issues!
