Doesn't look good on a company when the driver is scrolling on his phone while driving. Vans are a billboard on the road. Ewn484

I had previously left a raving review for this company because of how great and accommodating the tech was. I’m now adjusting my review to reflect a few different issues. My tech at the time was a great guy, but clearly was young and inexperienced. The boss only came back to “check” the work the young guys did and I then found multiple issues with their work after the job was done. I also found that I was incredibly over charged and that they easily could’ve made this job much more affordable and within my budget. I was charged $10k for a full re-pipe of my upstairs bathroom plus a new tub installation. Nearly $4k for just the tub installation. They installed the wrong size tub and tried to claim afterwards that they “told me about that” which they did not. I now have to build a new wall to accommodate the oversized tub. They also installed leaky pipes under a brand new vanity, which has now been destroyed by water damage and needs to be replaced. I had to call them back to fix multiple things, but mainly ended up fixing it on my own. All I can say is to make sure you’re getting quotes from multiple places and make sure you’re getting a good price. I feel very shafted by this company and will not be using them again.

Extremely disappointing experience. friendly technicians, but poor communication, questionable recommendations, and unresolved problems. We hired thelen due to having poor ventilation, no heat and a rotten egg smell to our water. After being told by their technicians our furnace, AC, and water heater all needed to be replaced due to bad ventilation, loss of heat, and a rotten egg smell in our water. Even though our AC and water heater were still working fine, we trusted their advice and decided to replace everything spending $14,300 total. The technicians who came out were very friendly and respectful, and we appreciated their professionalism. However, the work itself and the overall process have been extremely disappointing. When the installers finished the furnace and AC, the system was extremely loud, like a jet engine. When I asked if that was normal, one technician said yes. Later that day, another technician from the same company admitted it was definitely too loud and adjusted the blower. He also mentioned the furnace wasn’t installed correctly and said a manager would come out but no one showed up for multiple scheduled visits. It took three phone calls before someone finally came. That technician told us the ventilation issue had nothing to do with the furnace or AC after all, but instead was caused by insulation under the house from animals and then quoted another $6,000 to fix it. So now, after spending over $14,300, the only thing that’s actually fixed is the heating. We’re still dealing with the ventilation issue and the rotten egg smell. On top of that, ever since the new water heater was installed, we’ve noticed black speckles and what looks like copper shavings coming out of our sinks. This was never an issue before the replacement, and it’s extremely concerning given the amount we paid for what we expected to be a professional, high quality installation. The technicians themselves were kind and polite, but the company’s lack of follow up, poor communication, and inaccurate recommendations have been incredibly frustrating. I would not recommend this company unless they take responsibility for their mistakes and make things right.
