  I had Oak Electric come out to my house to look at a chirping smoke detector and change 6 porch lights to dusk-to-dawn light bulbs, which is a quick and easy job that would take 20min max to do. You just unscrew the top of the light and easily swap out the bulbs. I had already purchased the light bulbs and had them at the house. They determined after about 10min that the smoke alarm was chirping because I put two AA lithium batteries in it and it needed two AA non-lithium batteries instead. I had two AA non-lithium batteries at the house, so they could easily swap them out and they wanted to charge me $958.00 for this work. I called the office to make sure this was correct and they transferred me to Cindy who I assume was a manager to verify that this outlandish amount was correct and that they knew their electrician was trying to charge me that amount and Cindy verified that it was the correct amount. I explained to her again how simple of a job it was, changing batteries in a smoke alarm & 6 light bulbs & she said the $958.00 was the correct charge. STAY FAR AWAY FROM OAK ELECTRIC.

  I was extremely pleased with my experience with Oak Electric. They provided superior customer service that I haven't seen in many years. Each level beginning with the sales consultant and office management to the installation technicians showed that Oak Electric is a well run company that cares about its customers. They were prompt, courteous , and considerate of my time. They answered questions and provided logical explanations. I was pleased with the entire experience. I will call Oak Electric again. I highly recommend this company that provides excellent customer service and quality workmanship.

  We purchased a mini split system through Oak Electric a couple years ago for A/C in the summer, and supplemental heat in the winter. Then our boiler went out. The minimalist system we put in place (2 heads) was enough to keep our house comfortable all winter long. Today, we had our annual maintenance check to ensure quality operation for the coming year. Our tech's name was Steven. First and foremost, I want to say that he was professional, friendly, and informative. I had several questions for him - he was able to help me with all of them (adding another unit or two, upgrading the system, taking care of the system, functionality). His visit was extremely helpful and assured me that we are in good hands. I highly recommend this company if you are considering a mini split for your residence or business. Thank you, Steven, and thank you, Oak Electric!

  I recently had Oak Electric out for warranty work on a heat pump they’d installed on my furnace. The service was outstanding—responsive, quick follow-up, and the technician clearly explained what was going on, identified the intermittent problem, and fixed it efficiently. I really appreciated knowing exactly what was happening with my system. I’ve also used Oak Electric for two separate solar panel installations over the years and have been consistently impressed by their quality of work and professionalism. They work seamlessly with the city of Ann Arbor, ensuring everything is up to code and properly permitted and in the provided a discount to group solar purchases. From my own experience, Oak Electric has always been dependable and professional. Their team is knowledgeable and communicates clearly, which made me feel comfortable throughout the process. I’ve used them for both warranty work and solar installations, and each time the work was done efficiently and with attention to detail. It’s easy to see why so many people recommend them—my experience has been excellent, and I wouldn’t hesitate to call them again or suggest them to friends and neighbors.

  I had a great experience with Oak Electric Service. From a very friendly and helpful Irina who recommended and scheduled a service to Steven - amazing technician and kind person. He came out to inspect my furnace during some really difficult winter weather, and I truly appreciated his professionalism and dedication in making the trip despite the icy road conditions. Steven was punctual, courteous, and took the time to thoroughly explain what he was checking and why. He was very knowledgeable and made sure everything was running safely and efficiently before he left. It’s clear he takes pride in his work and genuinely cares about his customers’ comfort and safety. I would genuinely give him 10 stars but google only allows 5! I highly recommend Oak Electric Service, and especially Steven, to anyone looking for reliable and professional service. It’s not easy to find technicians who go the extra mile — especially in the middle of winter — and his effort did not go unnoticed.
