- MBMike BMar 31, 20264.0My softener died and I reached out to Douglas. They responded quickly and explained to me why I needed another unit. I got on their schedule, again, quickly and the service of installation was done professionally. After ~2 months the unit is working as it should and no more rust in the shower or toilets! My only reason for a 4 of 5 is (1) I got a refurbished unit for what I paid and (2) the controller head is made of "flimsy" plastic in that when you depress the buttons it appears cheaply made. I still feel I made the right decision.
- MLMelissa LanningMar 27, 20265.0Had an estimate done while doing a free inspection. We were basically lucky the softener was even still working so if course it broke about a month later. Called them back to use the estimate but ended up with a bigger problem when the old softeners bypass valve wasn't working. So it was no water to the house or constantly be essentially running a faucet since the valve wouldn't close. They managed to get a tech out the next day, a Saturday morning, to install a new softener with working bypass valve. So grateful a tech wanted the Saturday pay so we could have our water on! Been working great ever since!
