We recently had our roof replaced by roof rite and we couldn’t be happier. Jeff was our go to guy & he made sure we were in the loop through the whole process (pictures too!). Special shout out to Elmer & his crew who did the hard work in less than a day & Hunter who also helped us out!

I am writing to provide my highest recommendation for Hunter King. He recently completed work on several areas due to storm damage to my exterior home and yard. Hunter's work was exceptional and completed in a timely manner. I whole heartedly recommend him for any projects or repairs that you might have.

They came over the same day and gave a quote. Then a roof repair man came over that night and put up 4 new shingles that I had. The photos looked great.

Working on this- hopefully they will make it right. The price was right and the salesman was kind but they didn’t address the root cause of some of the reasons my roof failed in the first place. #1 incorrect insulation- I didn’t know about these things before now, however when insulation isn’t correct it causes ice dams that ruin your roof, loss of heat. = High heating bills. I am experiencing 1 foot ice dams in my new gutters and backing up on my new roof. So i reached out to roofrite and the first call they shrugged it off as oh it will melt. As my stomach turns because I know I am going to end up with a new roof that is ruined. So I hired a handyman to add insulation that should have been addressed at the time of the roof installation. #2 going forward I have reached out multiple times for them to come back to review the needs to correct the issue and I still haven’t gotten a follow back appointment yet. I am hopeful. #3 air flow- I have learned that correctly vented roofs are a must to insure the attics stay mold free and not get too hot in the summer. and prevent loss of heat in the winter. Only a 10 foot section of soffit vents were installed on one corner along with a ridge vent in an heated 2 1/2 car garage. Also an addition area has 0 vents. I have learned that this will heat your attic and ruin your shingles. This is also where I am seeing the huge ice dams and the majority of the roof damage was originally. I hope this helps someone no matter what roofing company they use.

I WOULD NEVER use Roof-Rite, again!! We had Roof-Rite replace our roof about 6-7 years ago. Before the replacement, we never had any interior leaking until after they replaced the roof. We’ve complained about it to Roof-Rite when we noticed water coming in (2021), and they did send out people to “check”, but they never found anything. I emailed Roof-Rite about this issue the next winter, when it leaked again and explained this, but they basically told me to “go pound sand”, because it was “an act of God” and isn’t covered by them. It wasn’t until we had an exterminator out to capture a red squirrel in our attic about 3 years ago, that the exterminator found a huge hole in the overhang/soffit, where the squirrel was getting in. The exterminator did the best he could to fix it, and it was fine for a few years. Although, it’s leaking again. Pics- 2/21 & 1/26. K Feliks Shankin Dr EDIT TO RESPOND TO THIER RESPONSE: In 2022, I emailed Mike, or maybe it was Mark, after it leaked again, after your Roof-Rite guys “found nothing wrong”. He emailed me back basically saying, “too bad” and that any inside damage, which was documented in 2021, wouldn’t be covered, as it was “an act of God”. Keep in mind, we’ve had extremely mild winters here in 2019 & 2020, along with 2022, 2023 & 2024, until this year, 2025/2026. So, why was it that the exterminator, back in 2022, found a hole in the soffit that allowed squirrels to enter the attic space, also allowing water intrusion? Roof-Rite did nothing, but deflect. After a quick review, they never found anything that “stuck out, like a sore thumb”, and never “found” a leak that was obvious. They would’ve found it, had they done their due diligence. I lived here about 10 years before we had our roof done by Roof-Rite, and have never had any issues with a leaking roof, not until it was replaced by Roof-Rite! The common denominator here is Roof-Rite and the lack of quality work/diagnosis, after they already did the work and were paid. Sorry, but I still WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND USING ROOF-RITE!! They DO NOT stand behind their workmanship and deflect blame, when an issue happens after they’re done. BTW, the soffit area I speak of butts up directly to another section of the upper roof, as this is a quad-level house. It was in that crevice between where the soffit connects to the lower roof that wasn’t done correctly. Also, why would I contact you again, as I contacted you multiple times, and you made it clear that you wouldn’t do anything. My review stands and I’ll just let others to decide.

Frequently Asked Questions About Roof-Rite, Inc

Can roofing work be done in the winter?

Roofing projects can be undertaken during winter months, depending on weather conditions. Shingle installation requires temperatures above freezing for proper adhesion, while metal roofing installations can be more accommodating in colder temperatures.

What are common winter roofing issues in Michigan?

Michigan winters often present challenges such as ice dam formation, excessive snow accumulation, and freeze-thaw cycles. These conditions can potentially cause damage to shingles and result in leaks. Proper attic insulation and ventilation are essential for minimizing these issues.
