Out of the several they recommended, only 1 called me back and quoted me a ridiculous price. Our of desperation, I started searching for structural engineers outside my area. Somehow I found SJW Engineering and they responded right away. From customer service to pricing and fairness, I can't recommend them enough. Will definitely be working with them again.

- RBRyane BakerAug 12, 20251.0Unfortunately, I have had a less than a great experience with SJW Engineering. I had a simple project to see if a wall was load bearing. The initial visit was quick and easy but after that the customer service really went downhill. Our first rendering took over a month to receive (contract says they try for 1 week), I had one question from the city inspector as a follow up and it has been 2 weeks with silence, not even a ETA or message that they are working on it. They require payment in full prior to the work being completed which should have been a red flag because unfortunately now they do not seem to have any sense of urgency. These delays have pushed back my project and cost me time and money. I would not recommend working with them.
