In 2014, I bought my current home and immediately remodeled the bathroom and laundry room. Due to a progressing health condition, I had the bathroom made "handicap accessible" requiring a custom glass shower door. At the time it was installed, I was given contact information should any problems develop. Recently, the door began to make a "snapping" or "cracking" sound. I was afraid that my beautiful shower door was going to break off of it's hinges. I took a leap of faith and called the number from that nine-year-old contact information. I learned that the business had a new name, now Suburban Prestige Glass, and the contact person no longer worked there. In addition, the company no longer made calls in my area. I explained the situation to Mike Mann, the gentleman who answered my call. He suggested that I take a video of the door and the sound it was making and send it to his cell phone. What an ingenious idea! I did as he suggested. Immediately, I received a response that he believed the hinge simply needed lubrication. If it persisted, the hinge would need to be replaced. He further explained that any local glass shop can replace the hinge, and gave the name of the manufacturer and where they could acquire the hinge. This sort of kindness and helpfulness seems to be in short supply in many places. Mike Mann, you're one in a million! Thank you.
