Our father Pasquale (Pat) Rea started this company in 1969, and we have remained a family business throughout the years. The name Arpino comes from the town our family is from in Italy. - RHRabah HadjitDec 22, 20201.0We hired him to replace our driveway. He has initially been very responsive to quote and follow up to get the job. He was not the cheapest. Once the job was done, we found out that they forgot to install a gutter drain under the driveway. The workers had accepted to move some concrete blocks and break them up and we gave them a pass. Overall, the cleanup and top soil was not done properly, we had to buy additional top soil and fill the gaps ourselves. For that too, we gave them a pass. We then found a broken sprinkler head on our lawn. Nothing had been communicated to us about it. We asked him, he said the workers broke it but plugged it. We ran the sprinklers and nothing was plugged. We confronted him and he said to hire our sprinkler company to fix it and he would cover the costs. We did and found out that they had punched the lines at several locations and broke additional sprinkler heads. We sent him the invoice, we texted it, emailed it and called for it. The only feedback we manage to get was that he never ever received it. After that, he would not return calls nor emails nor texts. This taught us his word cannot be trusted. He lied to us twice (that we know of) and his dealing with issues was totally unprofessional. We have been working with contractors for many projects, we always had issues small and large. Trust and professionalism are essential when time comes to resolve these issues.
