- ARAdam RosloniecOct 23, 20251.0I am a local contractor that has been using (Standale Lumber now Builders FirstSource) for the better part of 30 years. I have had great service from Terry and Dana for years on lumber, doors, and railing systems. Recently i ordered 23 JeldWen wood windows for a historic house and they were by far the worst quality windows that I have ever seen and Standale agreed that they were not up to par either. Moving forward I ordered 23 Pella all wood windows with tip to tip measurements from Mathew Ray and was told that they would be more expensive, but would be coming painted as to save myself some time from having them painted by my painter. After waiting patiently for the windows to arrive, they came in with wrong measurements (going outside of my tip to tip ordering parameters and were not painted like I was told either. I decided to move forward with the installation, so we wouldn't fall further behind waiting for another new order to come in. The installation required additional labor and materials for the house to accept the incorrectly ordered windows. I submitted an invoice broken down with all of the additional labor and material costs with no additional charges for company profit. They told me that they would see what they could due for me, being that it was a mistake on their side and not an improper measurement order from myself. Out of the total invoice given to them I was only discounted a quarter of what was submitted with absolutely no room for anything more. I have been back and forth trying to talk to someone higher up, and being told that they will not contact me about the situation. For these reasons I will no longer be doing business with Builders FirstSource.

- TCTyler CizekMar 29, 20221.0Put in an order for two custom bifold doors with Standale. Apparently the TWO separate measurements were too much to to handle. After overpaying and bringing the doors home, we learned they had not been cut at all. Mistakes happen, I get that; but.... After explainging the situation to Ryan and another associate over the phone, the halfhearted attempt to keep our business was nowhere close to satisfactory. No apologies were granted, as the mistake was explained as "I went on vacation and everything got messed up." Overall, the experience from start to finish was quite poor, with a conclusion that warranted this review. In this scenario, we felt like we were really inconveniencing them with our purchase. I'll stick with DeLeeuw.
