Team lead Ron literally went the extra mile by driving to Chicago, on a Friday evening, to pick up a spare unit and they finished the job the next day. Just unbelievable commitment to customer satisfaction. And, by the way, the work they did was top notch and everyone at the company was professional and personable!

They explained why just sanding or replacing the damaged boards was not the best option as the gaps between the boards would not match. We ended up replacing the entire floor and the waterlogged subfloor too. Old to Gold communicated clearly and regularly during the installation. And they returned to fix a small flaw so that I can hardly tell it is there now (see the second photo). Overall, I am very happy with them and with the new floor. Our installer, Adam, was polite and worked hard to get our floors done on schedule. Things to know: Old to Gold is not a general contractor. You will need to arrange for movers, paint touch-up, and cleaning. They do have recommended vendors, but I ended up doing much of it myself to get things done within the schedule I wanted. And while they left our home neat and free of sawdust, refinishing floors puts powder in the air that is going to be on your walls no matter what they do to control the dust. The photos are slightly darker than the actual floors. We chose Bona's "Sand Dune" stain color and are very happy with it.

We would definitely recommended to anyone working a big or small project!
