  I recently hired this company—supposedly in business for over 70 years and claiming to take pride in their work—to install a new window in my home. Unfortunately, the entire experience was a mess from start to finish, and the price was far too high for the quality of work delivered. The project was delayed right from the start, with the mason calling off sick multiple days. When the work finally began, the craftsmanship was extremely disappointing. The exterior mortar looks terrible, and the trim molding around the new window was cut so poorly that they had to fill the gaps with caulk just to make it look somewhat acceptable. A company with this many decades in business should be able to cut a proper 45° angle. Inside, the drywall work was just as sloppy. The drywall installer never primed the ceiling, which we didn’t discover until after painting. When we pulled the tape from the ceiling, the paint peeled off—something that would not occur if the surface was properly prepped. Even the most basic details were overlooked. The screws holding the window to the frame weren’t fully tightened. I pointed this out directly to the build leader, and nothing was fixed. That alone shows the lack of care and responsibility. After the job was done, I found more than 10 nails left on the ground below the window. Cleanup, communication, and finishing touches were all a disaster. To make matters worse, be warned: this company is essentially a middle-man. They subcontract out the work to various construction crews—just like Home Depot does—so the people doing the job are not actually their own employees. For the price they charge, the quality and oversight should be far better. This is NOT the level of professionalism or craftsmanship you would expect from a company that claims to have such a long history. Maybe when the previous generation ran it, things were done with pride. Today, it’s excuses, poor quality, and a lack of accountability. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I cannot recommend them to anyone based on my experience.

  We love our new barrier free bathroom for our son. Everything from start to finish was excellent and we could not be more pleased with the results. The bathroom turned out even more beautiful than I imagined. They worked non stop to get it completed in a timely manner. They will definitely be doing more work for us in the future!

  We had a cement patio poured. This company has their communication skills fine-tuned to an A+; first call through completion, we were kept informed of every detail. Workers worked quietly, cleaned up, and always respectful of us and our property. Special shout outs to all the receptionists, Paul, and Enrigue. Very professional and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this company!

  If I could give more than 5 stars I would! About a year ago, on a random day, I decided to take out an outdated jacuzzi tub out of my master bathroom. My initial thought was we would just replace it. Well, one thing led to another, and before I knew it, I had the bathroom down to the studs. My husband was not pleased with me. At this point, we thought we would be able to put the bathroom back together anew, on the weekends, and it would be easy and less expensive than hiring someone. It was not. Six months later, and all that was done was drywall and insulation. At this point we decided to call in Italy American, and it was the best decision we could have made! They gave us design suggestions. Things I never would have thought of. We are not the easiest people to work with. Me being adamant in my thinking and my husband being an engineer, we can be hard to please, and not the easiest people to work with. Italy American provided us with exceptional service and quality work.

  Bathroom Remodel Review: Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. After signing the contract, it took two months just to begin the project, and once started, it dragged on for over 13 weeks. Communication from project management was poor throughout—workers showed up sporadically with little notice or coordination. The work is entirely contracted out, and while that led to inconsistency overall, I want to highlight that Angelo’s team did an excellent job with the demolition and tile work. For the price I paid, I expected far better planning, professionalism, and efficiency. I would not recommend this company based on my experience.
