  Great job, and great employees! They put in a heatshield in my chimney so I can finally use it, and tuck pointed all around the outside of the house.

  We had brick and paver work done in 2024 and were extremely pleased with the results as stated in our review. In 2025, we decided on additional paver work paying the same price for less length. The crew was unprofessional and did not bother to clean up. We had an issue with the paver form that was reviewed by the Sales Manager and General Manager who agreed to replace a portion of work already done. However, again there was no clean up with the overspray from the paver surface by the power washer being deposited onto the brick of our house which I had to chip off. In addition, when I went to use our hose, the quick connect fitting was removed to use their power washer and was not returned. I will be looking elsewhere for any additional paver or brickwork. Very disappointed after being completely satisfied with the professionalism and work of the first crew. - Bill West

  Our 100 yr old Ann Arbor home was long overdue for chimney and fireplace repairs. I got three estimates. Brickworks Property Restoration was not the cheapest, but it was the estimate that by far made the most sense. We wanted the job done right, not cheap. Brickworks rebuilt our chimney from the roof up, laid a new cap and installed a damper. The firebox was cracked and the fireplace floor badly worn - they partially rebuilt the firebox and beautifully repaired it seamlessly. It was a messy job all around, but we are confident that it's been done correctly and should last another 100 years. We had no arguments about the quality of the work and other contractors (HVAC, for instance) have complimented us on the workmanship. One measure of a company is whether their performance was flawless; few of us attain perfection. A close second measure of a company is how they choose to address any problems. We had some issues with Brickworks' communication and cleanup. I wrote to owner, Jeremiah Campbell. He responded almost immediately, apologized over the phone but made an appointment to meet my wife and me at our home and at our convenience. He listened patiently to our experience, then got on the roof and thoroughly inspected the chimney and firebox. He clearly knows chimneys and fireplaces - he explained what was done and why and reassured us that the masonry work was sound. He sincerely apologized for the "customer service" flaws, explained candidly why it happened (explained, but did not excuse it) and then arranged to have one of his most trusted (and trustworthy in our experience) employees, Stefan Garcia, return to "make it right" with us with an extra firebox Heat Shield coating. My point is that Jeremiah Campbell struck us as a professional who takes sincere pride in his company's work, who really knows the field and especially knows chimneys and fireplaces, and above all, has unquestioned integrity. He reassured us that he addressed the office issues that led to our complaints but never with a hint of excuse or minimizing our experience. In the end, though we had some temporary concerns from a customer service perspective, most importantly, we are completely confident in the quality of the work AND the quality of the owner of this company which, for the most part, is the most anyone can expect. That kind of integrity is rare these days.

  My husband Tom and I hired Brickworks to do our driveway, create a new sidewalk path, and to add to our patio. There was a surface problem with the new driveway. Jeremiah Campbell personally came out to assess the situation, and resolved the situation by having the problem sections re-poured. We very much appreciate Brickworks standing by their work. Excellent customer service and satisfation.

  I had a wondeful experience with Brickworks and will not hesitate to use them again or refer them to someone I know. Everyone I dealt with was courteous, professional, efficient and prompt, from the sales team, the office staff, the schedulers and the workmen. They called back when they said they would, they did what they said they would do and they got here and finished the jobs when they said they would. . .Great customer service!
