  Roof metal all over my house nails in my garden etc not happy at all in my built-in pool all over screw in my Camaro wheels 500 a wheel come on 🤦🏻‍♂️

  We reached out to Shelby as we are exploring options to update our siding and gutters. Mike and Matt came out and gave a wonderful presentation about their services. Unfortunately, the vibe changed when we stated that we were getting quotes from other companies, which is a very typical and responsible thing to do when you are going to be spending thousands of dollars. I was disappointed when I asked Mike if this quote was good for 6 months and he replied “are you really going to use it in 6 months? I can read people pretty good”. Not a great way to make potential customers feel. Matt was very personable. Mike couldn’t get out of the house quick enough once he heard we were getting other quotes. Good companies should encourage people to get multiple quotes. Based on the good reviews, this company was high on my list of possibilities but now I’m not sure.

  Matt showed up on time for the free quote. Have not had any work done yet, but will update if I do. Update- ❗️I made the above review out of pressure when he was in my home asking me to leave a 5 star rating. I said I could when he leaves, but he told me he needed it done before he leaves.❗️ Let me start by saying they were the most expensive quote we got by double (out of about 5 companies) and at least 3 high pressure sales tactics were used. I explained that the first company who came out went up on the roof and fixed the issues for free while we shopped around. When I said I would like to take a day or 2 to look over my quotes and options, the owner himself became extremely condenscending. Exact word for word quotes from the owner himself; - "Did you do your research on us and read our reviews?" (I did read the reviews, but after being asked to leave a 5 star google review BEFORE he left or work was done, it made me doubt credibility.) - "You wanna let it leak a little more before we decide?" (Already explained to them the roof was patched up, even the sales person explained that prior to this statement. After this comment, I had to be stern with the owner.) - "I feel like we're getting blamed for all the companies that came out and high pressured them." (Stated after I explained not a single one of the other companies pressured me and were VERY professional when I said I had to compare my quotes. I had also stated that I like to take a day or 2 on big financial decisions instead of rushing into them to ensure it's the best option, especially with a baby on the way.) - "We're not rated the #1 roofing company in Maccomb county for no reason" (After asking me to leave a 5 star google review before they even left my home.) After explaining I had cameras recording inside (which were not hidden, they are in plain site and a sign is inside my entry way) the owner changed his tune and said he was saying all that to "possibly send someone out to patch up the roof while I think on it." It was VERY obvious his intention was to get us into a contract, not to help us with a patch job. The change came IMMEDIATELY after cameras were mentioned which I am glad I have cause it was a pain to get them to let up and leave. I can tell you right now that I have rewatched that video and asked everybody in my home that day if I was wrong on the vibes he gave off. Overall, I chose the company who came out and actually got up on the roof to inspect it and gave a solid quote. I didn't want unexpected charges and fees due to the lack of information on the roofs condition. Be careful and remember that reviews can be deceiving as I almost forgot to change this review after they left.
