I rarely ever leave reviews, and if I do, I never leave negative ones, only positive. However, due to safety concerns this feels warranted. Last night our two year old gas water heater was on fire. We were very shaken up and concerned about our safety. We called the emergency services line, they said someone would call us back. We patiently waited. No one ever called. We called back the next morning and the employee that answered the phone did apologize, and then noted that sometimes these urgent messages don’t get to the right people. Oh. Then don’t offer emergency services. If you call them for an emergency and don’t hear from them asap, call someone else.

I have filled a claim with consumer energy due to my heat going out. They kept cancelling my appointment stating it was completed. When consumer called the front desk lady hung up on her. I don’t know what kind of contract they have with them. However, the fact that you would cancel a claim stating it was completed not once but twice. Then being very unprofessional.

Our furnace went out in January. They came right over. Needed a new furnace. Got a quote on the spot from Tyler. Got a new furnace and some additional ductwork installed a week later.

January 24, 2026, the coldest day this winter so far, we woke to a very cold house. They came out 3 hours later, not the next day like another place told us it would be. Blake was our service man. He was very professional and honest. We did not need new parts but he cleaned a couple parts that were dirty. He did recommend we consider a new furnace before next winter, as our furnace is 23 years old. We have been blessed up to this point, but agree with him not to press our luck further. Thank you Chrome Mecanical!!
