It took several calls for someone to come out and replace the spring on a small 12' commercial door. The first set of guys came out and measured and said they had to order a new spring. When the new spring arrived a second set of guys came out and said the previous guys ordered the wrong size and they would have to reorder a new one. When that spring arrived a third set of guys came out and fixed the spring (it took them 1 hour and 20 minutes per invoice). However, they charged us $835.00 for trip and labor charges and another $527.00 for an overpriced spring. You do not need 6 guys to replace a spring. DO NOT USE THEM.

We had an emergent commercial overhead door spring issue that we had no expertise on site for, reached out to the gang at OHD Co and THAT DAY they had two techs come and let us know what was going on - offered a temp solution and quoted the permanent fix all same day... GREAT effort and efficiency! Thank you to the team - highly recommend!!!

Frequently Asked Questions About Overhead Door Company of Battle Creek

When I replace my existing door, can I keep my old track?

We recommend replacing your track when you replace your door because each brand of garage door has been specially designed to work with a specific type of track. In addition, replacing your track is an inexpensive way to ensure that your entire garage door system is as safe as possible. By replacing your track you also ensure that your door warranty will apply, in the event that you have a problem.

Do I need a lock on my garage door?

If an electric garage door opener has been installed on your door, it may not be necessary to have a lock. Newer electric openers function as the lock, making it improbable that an intruder would be able to lift your door from the outside. If you have an older opener, check to see if your door can be lifted from the outside. DASMA, the trade association for the garage door industry, discourages homeowners from attaching a lock when an opener has been installed because too frequently, a child or other family member will accidentally lock the door. If someone then tries to open the door using the electric opener, the opener will pull against the lock causing the door to be damaged. If no opener is installed on your door, you should certainly have a lock installed.
