  Single Mom trying to DIY things myself! Associates were very knowledgeable and patient with me. The store manager himself even asked if he could help me with anything! They were understanding of my budget and needs. One of the most welcoming and friendly stores I have ever walked into. Can't recommend the Brewer location enough. Thank you!

  I bought 8 boxes of Dream Home flooring from the Brewer, Maine store on Saturday September 1st. We attempted to install said flooring on Sunday September 2nd. It snapped apart easily, would not stay down, and was in general, incredibly flimsy. It did not work for the floor that we needed it to cover. We called the store and spoke to the Assistant Manager, Taylor, who helped us find the product in the first place. She said that since we had opened 3 of the 8 boxes, TWO of which we never even removed one piece from the box, that we MAY be able to get credit or a refund for THOSE boxes. We needed to return all 8 boxes, at least the 5 that were completely unopened. According to your return policy, you can return any unopened item with a receipt within 30 days. It is stated very clearly on your website, which I read before returning. On Monday, September 3rd, the STORE MANAGER who was NOT wearing a name tag, told me that I was not able to return my unopened product. I said that I had my receipt, that was in my hand, and that I had bought it THREE DAYS AGO, that accoridng to your own policy, that I should be able to. Funny, somehow his attittude towards our family was completely different after I caught him being 100% dishonest with us. He was rude, told me that you do not take back opened boxes because "No one will buy an opened box" (also interesting because Home Depot will take back any opened or unopened boxes but your company will not -- they seem to have no problem selling those opened boxes). I also said that I will never return to that store ever again and he said "That is fine" and when my mother questioned him on how he knew the boxes were not defective without even looking at them, he told her "I know they aren't. I have done those exact floors numerous times." When we asked him why Taylor had told us on the phone that we may be able to get credit for the untouched but opened boxes, he simply told us "He was her boss and he will not do that". Basically, if this man is the man you leave in charge of that store, good luck. He is by far the worst Store Manager I have ever come in contact with, and I have been in retail management for 15 years. Absolute worst service, and policy, I have ever seen. So even though your company made me eat $60 for the 3 boxes you would not take back, the worst part of my experience was that he actually tried to lie to us and tell us we were unable to return our perfectly fine 5 boxes of flooring. He straight out lied to us and attempted to get us to buy another product instead of getting my money back, rightfully so. This man is a snake and I honestly hope that you do not have other customers that have experienced that level of dishonesty from that store. I took the measly $100 your company allowed me to have, after I fought for it, WITHIN MY RIGHTS TO -- and spent it at Home Depot. Thank you for wasting my time and my money. I fully intend to blast this review on every possible avenue.
