  We purchased from DRB in Charles Town, WV 2 years ago and we are frustrated beyond belief. We are dealing with a HUGE mold issue due to faulty installation of our master shower which was brought up within a month of moving in. I told them rust was coming into the shower something wasn’t right. They came and said it was the shower door and caulked it better. Turns out it was the seat they installed. It was actively dripping behind the wall under the shower pan and the water was staying under the LVP. We reached out to DRB and got denied and than sent to the extended warranty and they denied us. We now have to replace the subfloor, shower, and possibly the vanity because it’s rotted away and moldy. Reminder our house is only 2 years old! Quote for a new shower over $17,000.

  I am a licensed Realtor who recently represented a buyer in a transaction at DRB Homes’ Westridge community in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. While my client successfully closed and is satisfied with her home, my professional experience working with the assigned sales representative, Renee Blackmon, was extremely disappointing. Throughout the transaction, there were ongoing communication issues, including delayed responses, difficulty obtaining clear and accurate information regarding the home’s square footage until very late in the process, and refusal to include my transaction coordinator on routine contract communications. During the final stages of the transaction, responsiveness was especially critical and was not consistently provided. In addition, a phone call initiated by the sales representative regarding concerns I had raised escalated unnecessarily and ended abruptly (hangin up on me), without resolution or follow-up. I intentionally waited until after my client closed to raise these concerns so her transaction would not be negatively impacted. Unfortunately, a subsequent follow-up conversation intended to address the situation did not result in accountability or meaningful resolution. Realtors and builder sales teams should work collaboratively and professionally. Based on this experience, I would not bring future clients to this particular community and would strongly encourage DRB Homes leadership to review communication standards and professional conduct to prevent similar situations in the future.

  Never Sell your Land, Lot, or Property to this company! In my experience, it's delay after delay because they do not turn their paperwork into the building department(s) in a timely manner then say they need exercise built-in extensions. When you request or email for updates nobody responds or they will responds with "we don't know an exact date of closing because corporate will tell us". I've even emailed Joe Alfandre and Tom Tracy since my clients have been waiting for DRB Group to close. Long story short, they have delayed my clients from closing which has created a mess since they are under contract on another property. We have no clue when DRB can actually perform and actually close escrow. Meanwhile, my client is staying with a friend during the Thanksgiving holiday since these folks don't care. This whole process started back in July and we'll be into December next week. Horrible process and clearly a lack of accountability for doing the right thing! In my 20 plus years of Real Estate and New Construction experience, I would highly certainly recommend not to do any business with this company.   I had few problems with the company in last few months, I was desperate and looking for help with the warranty, I went to office to talk to some one and Josh was there very nice and helpful, and half hour later Logan called me and scheduled everything that I was trying to schedule for months, Sam and Logan did a great job with all the warranty issues in the house, Logan texts me very frequently to check on me and they got everyhing done in just couple of weeks. They all great employees for the company and so far I had great experience with them, I can not thank them enough :) DRB is very lucky to have people like them..
