  D’Andre was highly professional, and did a thorough evaluation of our system which we have been having multiple problems with and never really function this whole summer after multiple visits from other technicians. He thoroughly evaluated the entire system, made important changes and then sat down and explained everything to us. When he left, the system is functioning well, and we are very pleased with the efficiency and professionalism of his visit.

  Tech was pleasant and diagnosed the 2 year old 1.5 ton system as needing a leak fixed at flare connection. Need a pressure test and 5 lbs of R410a. Quoted $2,100. When questioned he lowered the price to $1,700+. Explained that the refrigerant was $600/lb. for first two pounds. I respect the Tech. I cannot accept the pricing. R410a is $289 for 25 pounds on e-refrigerant.com. Paid the $149 diagnostics fee and moved on.

  I've had several Honest Abe services in recent weeks and have had good experiences with all of them. Michael and Sol handled some plumbing issues and a sump install we had. Brandon and his team handled the inspection and cleaning of our old, historic fireplace and chimney system. Everyone was courteous, professional, and showed not just knowledge, but experience in their respective areas including uncovering a plumbing leak we missed with prompt, effective repair even with nontraditional situations found in my century-old house. I've had great experiences with not just their techs, but front of house staff like Kerrisa who has met all of our logistical questions and scheduling fantastically making for a great experience overall working with this company. After years of bouncing around contractors, they are now first on my list for home services and one of the few companies in the area where everyone seems to care about and enjoy working with each other.

  Today we had the Honest Abe chimney crew come inspect a chimney that had (in theory) been fixed by a different company back in 2019. Brandon and Alonso were warm and friendly and communicated clearly about what they were seeing during the inspection. While it was a bummer to see what a bad job the last company had done, Brandon gave me confidence that it will be fixed correctly this time.

  If I could give Honest Abe’s Plumbing ten stars I would! Michael is everything you hope for in a master plumber: knowledgeable, meticulous, and honest. What started as what I believed was one burst pipe in crawl space turned out to be three, and Michael found every single one. He also went above and beyond helping us track down the exact cream colored toilets we wanted, which had been surprisingly hard to find. We also had a separate leak we already knew about which we had been living with the water shut off just waiting for help. Michael tackled that too, and it turned out to be a much longer and more involved repair than anyone anticipated. Even so, he honored his original quote without hesitation and did not charge us a single dollar more. That kind of integrity is almost unheard of. He was transparent, compassionate, and did it all with a warmth that genuinely moved me. After so many hours of hard, grueling work, I couldn’t help but hug him, sweaty work clothes and all. People like Michael are rare, and Honest Abe’s company is lucky to have him. It shows that he learned from the very best- Abe himself! I also want to give Hunter a very special shout out, an integral part of the Honest Abe’s team who played a vital role in getting everything done right. Professional, highly skilled, kind and dedicated. Hunter brought the same level of care and excellence to every task and was every bit as impressive. Honest Abe’s company is fortunate to have someone of his caliber, and he absolutely deserves to be recognized I highly recommend this company!
