  Brandon has been fantastic with our fireplace repair. He has been very honest and frank with us about our options and the cost. When the price for a replacement part was higher than usual, he offered to do the repair quickly or to wait until he could find the part cheaper. He did a great job of explaining things and answering any questions we had. He was very conscientious about leaving things clean and making sure that we were happy with everything.

  Been using Honest Abe for several years for plumbing, and they installed our tankless water heater some years ago. They’re always thorough and straight up with you. Plumbing is an expensive part of life, but with Abe you can feel secure with the work. Two of the four toilets in our house had slow leaks into the water system (not in the house per se) which over the course of the quarterly water bill added up. We couldn’t understand why our water bill suddenly doubled a couple quarters ago, and now we know why. We have decent American Standard toilets, but with dual flap tanks, which apparently doubled the chances for problems (the tech assured me it wasn’t my installation causing it, thank goodness). So, we’re basically getting all four “rebuilt” so that they’re solid and more conventional. Buying four brand new ones to install myself wasn’t much cheaper, if at all, and these days I have a physical condition that makes that harder anyway. But the main thing is, Honest Abe is honest with you, will stand behind the repairs, and while maybe on the high end of “reasonable,” the price is indeed reasonable. Advice for others: if replacing a toilet, avoid the dual flap models, lol.

  Michael and Alonso did a dryer vent cleaning for me today. This is after Brandon did the initial inspection a few days ago. I signed up for the membership plan last summer to get a discount on a big repair I needed and it's more than paid for itself. Michael, Alonso, and Brandon have all been thorough, professional, and courteous. The same goes for Tim and Eric that came for a separate HVAC issue and scheduled inspection. Overall, I'm very pleased with this company and happy that my neighbor recommended them. The prices are fair (not the cheapest you can find if you want to hunt for someone sketchy, but definitely not the most expensive), and the work is high quality, but most importantly, there's a wealth of knowledge behind a big team that stand behind their service. The name certainly matches the experience I've had.

  We moved into an older home where it seemed like one thing after another was breaking or needing repair, and we have been so happy to have found Honest Abe. Everyone we have worked with in this company has been wonderful - they’re thorough, explain what they’re doing and are patient to a newbie homeowner, don’t try to upsell, prices are competitive or better, clear about diagnostic issues, take their time while also being available quickly, and create detailed work estimates. Brandon M inspected our chimney and even discovered that the recently installed water heater by another company was improper and a carbon monoxide risk. He talked me through the chimney work that was needed and taught me about the appliances the home came with. Alonso and Mykol worked several days to make the updates and large repairs to our chimney, fixed the previous company’s mistakes and brought it up to code, and explained each step to us after. They genuinely care about their work and our safety. When our boiler stopped working, Abe came quickly to help diagnose it and get it running again, and again, explained different options to us. We became members so we can utilize their skills and expertise as we update our new-to-us older home over time.

  1st impressions matter!! Honest Abe you left your mark! I was told by my handyman, to look for a company I could trust to service my furnace on a regular basis. He said it made sense to pay the yearly fee since I would need and rely heavily on the upkeep of my HVAC, dryer and fireplace systems. I did my research of course and stumbled upon Honest Abe. What stuck out were the high number of great reviews. Could this company be really as good as they said? My early am call was answered with a cheerful response by Donna who set me up for same day service. I received a confirmation email within minutes. After an hour or two had gone by, I received a text and email with a picture of my technician Tim, alerting me that he was en route to me and would be arriving soon for my service appointment. Hello? Special much?? I certainly felt like it!! Tim arrived and was courteous, cheerful and knowledgeable and get this, even showed my husband what the issue was and how to take care of it!! Who does that??!!! At the end of the service, we were offered the choice of paying for the visit or enrolling for the service plan, (which I wanted anyways). I mean, who could say no after all of this ??!! I certainly could not! Tim and Donna, as the first points of contact for the company, I say Well Done! Thank you for making my first experience an exceptional and memorable one. Honest Abe is customer focused and truly honest! And in times such as these, i for one, truly appreciate it.
