    I recently got two services done: electrical repair and plumbing repair. I had Khaleel for electrical and Scott for plumbing. Both were fantastic! They were on time, respectful of the home, and I did not feel high pressured for sales at any time. They, of course, recommended other items but were very clear as to whether it was a "need to fix now" or "pre-emptive fix," which is very refreshing as no one likes being aggressively saled at in their own home. Speaks to how they don't need aggressive and dishonest sales to be successful technicians and the same goes for the business. They were also very polite in explaining things. I have some decent homeowner DIY knowledge, and have had some techs talk very rudely to me when explaining things or answering questions. Khaleel and Scott were really good at having the patience when explaining their reasoning and work.

    Victor Gomez did an excellent job! Michael and Son’s was supposed to send someone the night before between 6pm-11:59pm. I called them around 9pm and they said someone was coming, then around 11:30pm they called me to let me know no one was coming. Then someone was supposed to show up between 8am-10:30am…same scenario, no one showed up. Then around 1pm, Victor showed up and saved the day! He replaced a failed sump pump. He was kind, knowledgeable and patient my answered my questions. I’m truly thankful for him coming out on a Sunday.

    For customers who don’t use these services often, the call center should have been more clear and explicit about the full pricing and not to assume that the customer knows that the dispatch fee does not include doing the service. It would have been appreciated if the technician demonstrated interest and willingness to understand the misunderstanding and he could have exchanged with the customer in a more friendly manner. At the end we did not dispute that we had to pay the dispatch fee once we understood how pricing works, the call center should be proactive in providing the full pricing information. And not forget mentioning that the quote we got was over a thousand for replacing the kitchen faucet and supply valves even though we provided the new kitchen faucet which we found was super over priced. We got the job done by another provider for $250 total.

    I am very satisfied with Michael and Son. I had a basement bathtub, back up. 2 plumbing companies, could not clear the clog. Then I called Michael and Son. Lawrence, the technician, from Michael and Son, listened and learned the history, of my clog. His professional patience and persistence cleared the line, that 2 other companies, could not clear. I would recommend Michael and Son, for plumbing needs.

    Antonio is a friendly & patient technician who listened to all of my concerns as I walked him through each room of my house to show him where each air vent is located. He was efficient, thorough, and conscience of my crowded rooms and clutter. He explained the process to me clearly, and answered all of my questions. To be clear, I had called Michael & Son multiple times with questions about the vent cleaning process in relation to the difficulties my home has as to access of the vents. Unfortunately, even though I spoke twice with women in customer service and left a message for a service manager, no one from the department called to hear & answer my questions. Having the process explained clearly to me ahead of time would have saved me much anxiety as well as hours of prep I did in expectation of the duct cleaning service. Basically, the answer I got from customer service was "you don't have to do anything". But keep in mind that in reality, there are people who have special circumstances that may need to be addressed. Thankfully, Antonio was able to answer my questions when he arrived, and was confident about going forward with the job. but having someone get in touch with me and lisyen to my concerns before his arrival might have made the job easier for both him and myself. I was surprised that no photos were taken inside the ducts before or after the work was completed. Generally, I think that is something HVAC companies do to ensure the customer of the quality of work that was done. I am HaPpY to be a Michael & Son Gold Member, and will continue to recommend your company. But remember that sometimes having a manager answer a few questions can make a big difference in a customer's confidence level. Thank you for understanding, Gwyn
