  A little over a year ago my Wife and I decided we needed new siding for our home of over 35 years. Like everyone we were concerned with the price and the high pressure salesmen that we heard stories about. After looking at and reviewing several companies we decided on Home Genius Exterior and are glad we did. Sales Manager Chris Grove came out to the house and explained thier working model and all the different type of siding and cost. He could not have been more helpful. No pressure, no you have to buy it now or you will miss out. The total opposite. We were so impressed with him and the pricing we signed up that day. Within a week Michael Meredith the project manager showed up to the house with his working crew and began the work. Michael stayed in touch with us everyday and constantly asked if we had any concerns, which he addressed. His crew worked was outstanding. They worked hard all three day they were here. Everyday before they left. They cleaned up all debris and materials left around. They even swept my back deck every day Needless to say My Wife and I were impressed. The siding they installed looked better than we expected The owners of this company should be commended for the Great team of people he has working for them Mike and Carol PS. The icing on the cake is 50% of of all material

  We hired this company in june 2025 to remove old siding and replace with new. WORST company ever!!! They subcontracted to very incompetent crews. First crew damaged all the window trim and several window screens the siding was not attached to the house securely. Left property messy, cigarette buts everywhere and their trash..the quality of work was very poor. Had to take down and redo. Second crew was even worse, did not think possible. Fired them after 8 months trying to get them to finish the job correctly. We have had no gutters on our house for 8 months. We gave them approximately 26% down payment, which in ohio is illegal, only allowed 10% or less, we were not aware, until we obtained the services of a lawyer to get our down payment back. Sales person was incompetent and did not know the siding business at all. (Hindsight). Per contract supposed to wrap whole house with vapor barrier, discovered that did not happen. I could go on and on, they did nothing right. Hired new company to do it correctly. Ended up costing more, because they brought to our attention that they would have to remove the 80 year old stucco, because they could not get the new firing strips to hold. Whether Home Genius knew this or not, they did not present that potential problem to us! If we would have them finish the job, we would have many issues with Home Genius install, as mentioned previously, customer service sucks. Not one sincere apology from any one at home Genius. I am not sure how they have an A+ on the BBB. They should be labeled Evil Genius!!

  I called up this company asking if they could make a repair on my siding. They said they would and while they were out there give me an estimate. They said it would take about 90 minutes and give me a quote for both the repair and to do a full replacement. Classic bait and switch. They ended up spending 3 hours at my house starting quote was 72K then went down to 48K. Then when we ask the quote for the repair they stated they could not put their name on a repair on my house. I then told the sales rep that they are not honest people, I never intended to replace my siding I just needed a repair done which I was told they could do. For me this company is a no go. Promise 25 year warranty when they have only been in business for 8 years. The sales rep told me they pay there workers even when they don’t work and that’s what kind of a good company they are. That’s called overhead and I’m not paying for it and neither should you. Waste of time for me waste of money for you go somewhere else do not pay an inflated price so workers can get paid when they don’t go to work. Nice for the company not nice for the customer.

  We recently completed a full exterior roofing system replacement with Home Genius Exteriors (HGE), and we couldn't be more satisfied with the results. Our project was extensive—including a new roof, gutters, downspouts, skylight installation, and an upgrade to aluminum soffits. Before selecting HGE, we interviewed several well-known roofing companies in the DMV area, but Kevin Paul (Sales) truly set them apart. He spent nearly an hour conducting a thorough inspection with detailed photos, explaining the entire system layer by layer—from materials and ventilation to waterproofing and timelines. This level of transparency gave us the confidence to move forward, especially given their competitive pricing and flexible 12-month financing options. The installation process was impressively organized. Our Project Manager, Drew, provided access to a live project tracking portal so we could monitor progress in real-time. The entire job took just three days, and the crew was professional and diligent about daily cleanup—something we particularly appreciated was their attention to nail management and debris control. What really impressed us, however, was the post-installation support. When we noticed a minor exposed nail on the visible roof section above our bay window, I sent photos to Drew. He responded almost immediately and had the issue resolved the very next day. Later, when we had a concern about a downspout, Jordan (Warranty Claims Inspector) came out to perform a comprehensive inspection. He was honest and thorough, confirming the system was functioning perfectly and that the issue was simply temporary ice buildup rather than an installation defect. Since completion, the system has already been "battle-tested" by extreme weather. Shortly after the install, we experienced a heavy rainstorm followed by the most severe snowstorm the DMV has seen in five years. The roof performed flawlessly—no leaks, even snow melt, improved insulation, and the drainage system handled the load with ease. Overall, HGE demonstrated professionalism, responsiveness, and solid workmanship. We are very happy with our decision and this investment in our home.

  Daniel was the project manager for both the installation of my storm door and hardy plank siding. My wife and I finally decided to do the projects and decided to go with Home Genius Exteriors. From our first meeting with Daniel through the final completion, Daniel demonstrated exceptional professionalism, organization, and attention to detail as our project manager. Replacing the siding on our home is a significant investment, and Daniel made the entire process smooth and stress-free. He clearly explained the scope of work, timeline and materials, and kept me informed at every stage of the project. Any question or concerns I had been addressed promptly and thoroughly. What impressed me the most was his commitment to quality. He ensured the crew followed proper installation practices, maintained a clean and safe job site, and completed the work on schedule. The finished product exceeds my expectations-the craftsmanship is outstanding, and the transformation of my home has been remarkable. Manuel, Ernesto and his crew did an extraordinary job. They went above and beyond and made sure everything is perfect down to the detail. I can definitely recommend them.
