  I have had two experiences with Floor Systems Inc located in Huntingtown MD. The first is when I purchased a top end carpet and had them install it. Be aware that the installers they use don't work directly for them. They hire crews that are independent. Are they legally permitted towork in the US? Are they insured? Did they vet them at all? Bottom line, the end results were only so so at best and the carpet seams are now very visible. When I needed flooring for my WV Cabin I went to their store and bought top end VLP and ceramic tile. I gave them the dimensions of each room. They told me what I needed, sold it to me, and shipped it to my job site. At the end of the job, I had about 800 sf to much VLP and 50 extra boxes of tile. That is a lot of excess material i had purchased. Thousands of dollars. After asking for a return credit, they offered me pennies on the dollar. I ended up donating the tile to Habitat for Humanity and saving the VLP to re-floor in my main home. Needing T molding and other trims to install the excess VLP, I called them to get a quote for the pcs I needed. They gave me very high prices and then tried to add on a shipping fee that was 25% to 30% of the cost of the order. I requested that they reconsider the shipping fee. They never responded. I went out on the web and found the materials I need for less and free shipping. When i shared my find with the salesman. He gave a snarky response. So, I have come to the conclusion that this company was just sticking it to me. The huge over estimate of material, low credit offer for returning materials and the extras they tried to stick me with for the misc. Parts. You should use Choice Flooring in Dunkirk MD, right down the street from Huntingtown. Much better, less expensive and great customer service.

  I would not recommend this company based on my experience. They were quick to come out for the estimate, but I had to follow up twice just to receive the actual quote. I scheduled a hardwood floor refinishing two months in advance because we had to move out during the drying period and book an Airbnb. A few days before the scheduled start date, I confirmed everything with Allen — the same person who gave the estimate and set up the appointment. He confirmed they would arrive at 8 AM on the agreed date. However, at 7:30 AM the morning of, I received a text from Allen saying, “I didn’t want to wake you, but can we start tomorrow?” This was completely unacceptable since we had already made arrangements to be out of the house. I called him immediately and explained they needed to start as planned. He said he would make sure the crew came that day. By 4 PM, no one had shown up or even called. When I reached out again, Allen said the team was “two hours away” and would just stop by to “scope out the work” — meaning they had no intention of starting that day. To make matters worse, they didn’t even have the stain color I had already chosen. I ended up canceling the job and thankfully got my deposit refunded. The entire experience was disorganized, unprofessional, and disrespectful of our time and planning. If you value reliability and communication, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

  Floor Systems installed all bew carpet on our second floor and also installed new hardwood in our family room. From beginning to end the whole process was seamless. The floors look fantastic! Sam was very knowledgeable and provided some excellent recommendations for our flooring. We couldn't be happier. Thank you!!

  Floor Systems is a Wonderful Company to do Business with. There Crews do Great Work and the Office Staff is Exceptional. Give them a Call and I am sure they can find whatever you need.
