  We had our White Oak hardwood floors installed sanded and finished on 10/4/2023- The floors look OUTSTANDING! I can't say enough good things about Hawkins Floor Company - they did all the things you would expect from a company. Thank you Carl and his crew for a job Well Done!

  Hawkins Flooring installed a new wood floor for our 60-year old kitchen last month. It’s a small kitchen, but the job required three separate appointments (put down the floor, return to sand and add polyurethane coating, return to add final coat two weeks later). The Hawkins team came on time and completed everything right on schedule. The team members were outstanding - pleasant, happy to answer any questions, efficient, and cleaned up perfectly afterwards. They even touched up a couple of minor blemishes on the wood flooring elsewhere in our house. The pricing was very reasonable. We cannot recommend Hawkins highly enough.

  Stop looking for a flooring company and choose Hawkins! If you are undecided in flooring go to the show room because there are so many styles and designs, they even let us take a few of the giant samples home to try it out. They walked us through pros and cons with wood species, grades, type of flooring. I never felt pressured like I had to go with them either, it was a very friendly conversation. Our floors had certain high spots and they knew how to handle them and level the floors to lay the wood. The detail in transitions, stairs, and cutting around things was phenomenal, leaving enough room for expansion but will be covered by a baseboard (we are trying to avoid quarterround). The best part: we chose a hickory flooring but had oak stair treads and Mike tried his best to get the stairs to match the floors even if different wood. He went above and beyond and the wood stain they used looks so good with the floor. This company cares about the detail and we love our new floors. Thanks William, Mike, Gina, and Carl.

  I had a horrible experience with Hawkins Floor and the project drug on forever. I hired them for a $30K job that involved removing tile, removing some carpet, installing some hardwood and refinishing it all to match. They began the project on July 31 and did not leave until the first of October...over 8 weeks. Most days they only worked for a couple of hours. The office and owner are terrible about communication. It doesn't seem like anyone is truly in charge at the company. At one point, I asked for a schedule of when they would be coming. Never received it, they showed up whenever they felt like it. One time they didn't show up at all for a couple of days until I called the office. They knew I was expecting a baby and yet made very little effort to finish before she arrived and we had to deal with the smell after her arrival. No one supervises the crews and the crews are constantly changing. The floor ended up being satisfactory, but I am left with much trim to touch up because they ripped up the shoemoulding as quickly as they could. They did a rushed job on the hand work to refinish the stairs and railings. Entire spots were left unsanded, stain didn't go to the edges, and stain was smeared onto the white trim. They did come back out to redo parts of it but I am underwhelmed with the job they did on the stairs. I have attached a couple photos of the many spots that look like this. Their estimate was on par with the other two I received. Save yourself some headache and look elsewhere. I felt like I constantly had to stay on top of them and they were truly the thorn in my side during this project.
