  This review reflects both my experience with the local store and with the main online distributor's customer service. Two stars only because at least some of the floor was functional. I ordered 300 sq ft of allegedly in-stock flooring through the website on 11 Feb, selecting local pickup at the Frederick location. My contractors were ready to install starting Monday the 16th. The flooring was not available for pickup until 21 Feb (for comparison, the excellent Aspen Hill Floor and Decor had my order ready for pick up on 12 Feb for similarly in-stock flooring.) On arrival, I was asked to sign a contract acknowledging receipt of the material before viewing it. Once we went to load the boxes (by hand, once again, unlike the most excellent Aspen Hill Floor and Decor, who has claimed both my heart and my business forevermore), I noted that a box was damaged. I flagged to the staff, who said that it was cosmetic damage to the box only. I was trying to get home and offload before the dark/snow and initially accepted the employee's conclusion, but ultimately stopped before leaving the industrial park to check and found that the tongue of the flooring itself inside the box was damaged as well. I went back and spoke with Michael, who advised that a) he couldn’t replace the damaged box (despite the fact that this would cause a further delay in my project, which was already behind schedule due to the unadvertised 10 day lead time for allegedly “in stock” product), b) my only option was to call customer service, and c) customer service would then reach out to him to verify the damage and make me whole. At no point did Michael advise me that photos of the damage would be required or that there were any other requirements. I had hoped that I would have enough material to finish the job even with the damage, but unfortunately I did not. I reached out to customer service on 26 Feb and explained the situation. Customer service refused to help in any way or provide any compensation without photos despite everything I detailed above. I ordered the additional material needed to finish the job because I was over a barrel unless I wanted my floor not to match. Despite placing the additional order on 26 Feb--yep, you guessed it--I have heard absolutely nothing about the whereabouts of my additional material, further delaying my project. I will never order from this company again, and I really strongly advise that you don't either. ETA: A few moments after receiving the notification that the business had responded to my review, I received the following in my email (excerpted for space reasons) on the direct thread I have going with Customer Service: “We did speak with the store team regarding this matter as well. However, at this time there is no supporting evidence provided to validate the damage claim, which prevents us from proceeding further with the request. We would be happy to assist you with a replacement or provide an appropriate resolution if you are able to share any pictures or additional supporting evidence of the damaged product.” So don’t be misled by the reply: they have no intention of doing anything and are just trying to make themselves look better publicly. My contractor, when I was explaining the continued delay to him, also immediately guessed without being told that it was Lumber Liquidators and told me his own horrific tale.

  Called the store to get a quote for installing materials purchased from another store location. Was told they could do the install but needed to measure first to give us a quote. Then they refused to do the install because that store didn't sell us the materials (even though this was throughly explained prior to agreeing to the service). Now they are refusing to refund me the measurement fee that was sold to me in bad faith.

  Michael was awesome to work with! We knew nothing going in there and he was very patient and knowledgeable while walking us through everything. They had a great selection and pricing as well.

  Nice selection, good prices and helpful sales people. I found the quality to be better at Lumber Liquidators than at the "blue or orange" home improvement stores
