- JJJustinAug 10, 20231.0Disappointing I was not "allowed" to purchase an OEM part as those are "reserved for contractors". I took my business elsewhere and was able to fix my AC same day. Website makes it difficult to find out what is in stock, and twice when I called to find out stock, the phone system sent me to Richmond where they cannot see DC stock, so I had to be transferred/placed on hold again. EDIT IN RESPONSE TO COMPANY MESSAGE: The part I wanted to purchase was a furnace blower motor. I was told I could only purchase an aftermarket motor, not the OEM part. I wanted OEM. Either way though, me being offered the aftermarket motor means this had nothing to do with "requiring special skills and certifications". I was told they "like to save OEM parts for contractors". This is gatekeeping and anti right-to-repair. It's like if an auto parts store only sold car parts to a mechanic.
